Hi again

Got my 980Ti Classified yesterday and connected my EK-FC780 GTX Classy block right after one run in Firestrike with aircooler. Have to say I'm really happy with it! The card has some coil whine but it's unhearable when case is closed. ASIC lottery went decent. I got one with 72% ASIC and with stock bios I already reached 1514 MHz on Core and 8012 MHz on Memory. Temps didn't go much higher than 40C. I will do some tweaking on the bios today and maybe do some testing. For some reason I couldn't raise the voltage with stock bios normally or the readings from GPU-Z were wrong.

I hope you guys get your water blocks soon enough!

Awesome! I am debating getting into watercooling so I am eager to see what your results are. I am on air and have 74% ASIC. I end up at about the same clocks in games (1535 for 3DMark) but at 75C and with audible fan noise. IDK if I am going to do a custom loop or get a Swiftech combo unit and expand slowly. Probably the latter.

ok so if there is a block in the making for the 980 ti kingpin, it should fit the 980 ti classified as well?

Like for the 980 non-Ti versions, there's physical differences between the Classy and the KPE PCB's so no it won't fit.

The 780 classified block fits the 980ti classified, so you wouldn't need the KPE block with the classified, and as Luc stated, there are physical differences on the KPE PCB that would keep it from working.

I think that is a typo for now. They probably need to be alerted, but I don't have a KPE to definitely tell them it is wrong.

Hi, I've got a question and you guys seem to be the two to ask.  I've been searching for info on this Galax 980ti ()  I see that the pcb is stamped Nvidia but I have not been able to find any other info and I'm still waiting on shipping before I can disassemble and take a look at the pcb.  Does it being stamped Nvidia make it a reference pcb that can use any other reference 980ti waterblock? I would really appreciate any help so I can figure out what I need sooner rather than later.

Thanks for helping everyone around here!

As far as I know, the only non reference pcb from Galax is the HOF. I will look real quick. Do me a favor, and put brackets or something around the periods in your like, like this www(.)evga(.)com so that the site doesn't block it out. You don't have enough posts for links just yet.

If you post back before I can look, I will add another post. If not, I will add it to this one.

So far, I can only see this card : Galax 980ti

If that is what you grabbed, it looks to be a reference board with an upgraded bios and heatsink.

thanks for your quick reply! oh yeah I totally forgot about the links.  it'd be nice if it showed no link in the preview.     www(.)galax(.)net/US/980ti_v.html

Don't worry, my phone changes what I type, if you couldn't tell, lol.

That is a reference pcb from Nvidia, so any Titan X block (or 980ti branded) will fit it perfectly :-)
