EVGA already stated, the only non reference pcb is the Classified and K|ngp|n. All others are reference. That was Jacob posting that, and I will have to look for it.. The thread was referencing the 980ti ftw, which will not exist.

I'm back here it your answer... All other pcb's are Nvidia reference.

Yes Classified and Kingpin are the only cards that use a custom PCB.

soooo that means the GTX 980TI ACX 2.0 06G-P4-4991-KR is a reference PCB and compatible with the Titan X block??

I can only repeat the same answer so many ways ;-)

anziel: you've been pushing this point in more than one thread >.<

as much as i kinda agreed with your thought process (as yes, they are always touted as reference with acx cooler) but ive gotta side with Luc and caution here, i mean its totally possible EVGA just used stock titan x pcb and stamped their brand, but if every other "reference" card has NVIDIA branding and those magically have EVGA branding, then yes, very well could be different.

I'm not pushing anything, I've already said this is totally understandable. I was just 100% sure that all EVGA 980tis right now are reference PCB, and just was confused as to why EK guys wouldn't realize that. Now that I see the EVGA stamp, I understood the source of the confusion.

You can see on the last picture that the "Nvidia" branding is gone in favor of an "EVGA" branding on the PCB.  Which might mean that the PCB layout has been altered.

Well, thanks for the clarification! I was just having an internal bet going on why you differentiated between different models of EVGA 980tis, and this settled it :)

From Jacob on Twitter. @the_Scarlet_one I double checked. Almost the same some small resistors and capacitors change though.

He doesn't state if the change is placement or just the fact that they are upgraded/changed. If they are positioned differently, then the Waterblock won't work... At this point, I keep getting confusing answers instead of a direct yes or no for placement of parts.

Best bet is to hold off.

I sincerely apologize for adding confusion here.

And Jacob didn't answered my PM...

Here I am sitting in front of this thread for a couple of days now wondering if I should grab the 4995-KR and the EK waterblock and have them fit... I was going to until Scarlet_tech created more doubt in my head with the resistor/capacitor changes...

Pleaase someone confirm for me soon before I go crazy :/
Or maybe I should just buy the Hydro copper but who knows when that's gonna become available ._.

Yeah, It added more confusion when Jacob said "essentially they are the same but the capacitors are different...." How? That isn't a good answer lol!

Asking Jacob for more Clarification now. I will let everyone know asap, if I can get a direct answer.
