Not a problem. The VRAM .5mm thermal pads may be precut to fit. It makes everything really easy and after a year of using the ek pads, they were still working wonderful..

Using the fujiploy extreme pads, they were dry, brittle and fell apart... I won't pay for those again.

Do any of you know if the kingpin card has a normal fan header on it like a motherboard or will I have to buy a small fan connector to control my rad fans for the gpu

I don't see anything at that link that even mentions games. I saw where an AC or Rainbox Six game was the option, but I still don't see how I get a code.

Gpu's have a small 4 pin connector. The full size would take up a lot of space.

i have 4 gtx 980ti evga acx 2.0+ sc with back plate gpus in quad sli , i am running 1 right now
 
i fail to understand why the gpu is not boosting to 1500mhz , my g1 gaming 980ti from gigabyte boots to 1520mhz and evga gpu is not ---no thermal limits are hit i have 1600watt psu rampage iv extreme mobo .
 
i have tried to oc the gpu slightly but in fire strike its 1488mhz then it comes down to 1433mhz for no reasons temps are in 70c , even if i max out all the options it does not do 1500mhz
 
yet in valley and some games it does 1500mhz but then comes down on its own to 1488 or lower for no reason
 
its the same with all 4 gpus ----i am downloading precesion x latest version to see if that helps ....but i am very dissapointed
also in quad sli i have plenty of air flow in corsair 900d casing with the a/c on right now ----temps are all over the place if not checked in valley they touched 90c on full fan speed ..whats happening
 

That's serious mistake building even 3 way SLI ACX 2.0.
Simply no such big case enough to cooldown even 3 cards.
They need room and open case and probably will be hot around that case. 
You should decide between reference cards, Hybrid cooler or watercooling block.
And if you talk about GIGABYTE card with 1150MHz clock than it's normal to boost higher than card with 1100MHz clock.
Did you tried to overclock with Afterburner, to increase power target to max?

i have tried it above 170+ in after burner its not stable even with max core voltage and power limit options , what i dont get is why it auto down clocks from 1488 to 1455 or 1433 in fire strike even if temps are 70c i am talking about a single gpu here .
 
i agree on the cooling might be they are sandwhiched but i am only using 1 gpu and have removed the rest ...atleaast it should do 1500mhz as a damn 970 is doing it with ease .
 
i am so dissapointed there is a local oc compeition going on and i think i will fail miserably coz ppl with g1 gaming 980ti are all over 1500mhz boost and i cant even do that .....
