Good single card performer! Surpasses my 770 Sli by a few points in Firestrike. I wouldn't pay 650$ for this card, $550 maybe.

Don't know if anyone can answer this, but is there any physical difference between the reference and the , other than the obvious water cooling setup? It seems the Hybrid has a higher stock clock and texture fill rate. The stock clock is probably EVGA just turning up a knob, but could the fill rate be tied to any physical difference in the two cards?

For reference the Hybrid has a fill rate of 200.6GT/s and the reference Super Clocked has a fill rate of 194GT/s. The reason I ask is because it looks like the Hybrid is going to be just about impossible to obtain. My plan is to buy a reference SC model (only slightly less impossible to obtain) and just strap a 980 or Titan X Hybrid kit (also hard to obtain) to it. Regardless, I plan on making a customer shroud so the mismatched branding does not bother me.

Then the question comes, if I take this route will I void any warranties or be ineligible for the step up program? Hopefully others have these questions as well.

Its just the clocks and boost from extra cooling effecting the fill rate.  All the currently listed cards physically have the same board and components.  So others on this forum have told me :)

Im switching from a classified 780ti to 980ti acx 2.0 SC+, I had bad luck with lottery chip on my classy. Im not going to wait for the classy of this one. Im betting even the reference 980ti could get a nice base OC if you wanted it to.

Yeah fingers crossed here I dont have much time to check webpage for new stock all time. I hope it wont take weeks before it stays in stock forawhile.

Dear radjezz,

I am very sorry for any confusion as we can confirm that your most recent order was processed as soon as PayPal released the funds.  Please understand that we are not seeing any reason for an API error, so we can only assume that there may have been a error with processing your order with PayPal at that time. Thank you for your patience during this process and if anyone else is in need of support with your order or placing your order then we are here to help.

The standard 980 ti reference card is now available (US) for anyone interested... I'm not having luck though - EVGA website is giving me an error every time I try to checkout and sends me back to start over.

I had the same, tried to order the reference superclocked a zillion times but every time an API error in EVGA's portal. Its the portal after paypals so its on their end nog yours, mines or paypals.
The card stayed in stock, could just not order it.
I ended up ordering the non superclocked version and i got futher, was able to pay but after payment got no comfirmation and i have 0 open orders and my money is gone. So no card for me and no money to buy it somewhere else. Really angry.

So be happy u got the error all of the time, u probably would have the same as i have now :(
