Haven't I seen you around for a while, lol. This isn't an EVGA promotion, it's Nvidia... Just like it says in the posts before yours.

IF you bought your card from EVGA directly, and only if (because this is getting really frustrating to repeat every other post) go here:

http://www.evga.com/artic...46/Metal-Gear-Solid-V/

If you bought your card from anywhere else, ask the place you bought the card from.

Seems like evga is releasing another 980 ti called the ftw with back plate that costs same as sc+ with back plate with the difference of having clocks same as the classified. Any explanation why this is the case?

Because there has always been a FTW between the sc or ssc and classified... It will be a custom pcb, just like always, and there is no other cost point it would fit.

Looks same as sc+ to me. What is custom about it?

Change in vrm probably, just like every other FTW. Look at the 980 chart and you can see that all reference 980's had 4+1 vrm, and 980 ftw had 6+2, not to mention dual bios, which the 980ti SC+ does not feature.

The FTW is generally aimed at air overclockers looking for a little bit better vrm and bios support over reference boards while they maintain air cooling. This is the gap between the SC and Classified. This is where most people that don't use extreme cooling like to purchase, because (aside from the 980 FTW) the FTW is normally on part or close behind the Classified while on air.
