The standard 980 ti reference card is now available (US) for anyone interested... I'm not having luck though - EVGA website is giving me an error every time I try to checkout and sends me back to start over.

No. the classified and kingpin classified versions are definitely happening...theres already news on them... the ETA is still up in the air. 

I can't wait until the 980 classified price drops ill just get another one... been looking to upgrade to x99 anyway...

Its the same card. The other one is just with a preinstalled backplate.
 
Pre ordered myself the same one on another website. I dont espect it to arrive for a week depending on how fast evga sends out cards anyone know this for third party retailers?

I tried different browser, api error is not on my end. I tried to order the SC reference, it was in stock. Tried 8 times and all times gave the same error. After that i tried the non SC card and it went OK. Looks like the SC maybe was clickbait?? Also i know paid 747 euro and it got charged through paypal but i have 0 open orders and no email comfirmation???

Just the backplate. But if you're buying the SC, might as well throw in an extra $10 (as per EVGA's prices) for the backplate, as it does help with the card and if you were to buy separately (not available for now, though I suspect a Titan X BP would work fine and you would be able to troll a little bit), it would cost at least $20 (+tax +shipping...)

Gather the evidence on your side, the transaction IDs on your paypal and send them all to EVGA so they can make it right for you. Or, option 2, cancel the transaction on paypal if you feel something is wrong...

Good Lord! that's like $830. Yea im good with my $580 classified...

why can't amazon have the ACX version of 980 ti?
