I kind've wish that I waited for the Titan X Hybrid instead of getting the Titan X SC. I got my Hybrid upgrade kit a few days ago (after 4-7 weeks of trying to snag me one) and last night I found out that two of my 1.5mm hex bits were stripped so I'm awaiting to get that replaced by EVGA (oh yeah, EVGA is the BEST!. I once had a problem with an Asus 480 because I wanted to install the high airflow bracket and they didn't care.) But yeah, the installation process seems more complicated that I thought of (at least according to the instruction manual).
As for is the Titan X worth it? Hell yes, at least if you have a 4K G-Sync monitor. The games that you can't max at 60 FPS (usually 40-45 FPS) feel like 60 FPS. Plus that VRAM. If anything you can always get a second (used) Titan X for like $550 when its replacement comes along and you should be good at least until 2018.
