I'll definitely pick one up, looks good and my current bridge is the standard flexible ugly one. I've experienced texture flickering in so many games in the past under SLI, although not yet on my GTX 980s. Anything that helps.

Would the short 2-way bridge work for my ASUS x99 Deluxe? Slotted are red.

Jacob,

Will the 3 way bridge work with only 2 Video Cards?

Looking forward to these even though I just picked up the Nvidia ones
I guess I'll just have to make more builds to put then into

Velocd,

I have the same board as you. You would need the long bridge. The 3 Way SLI bridge would be too long, and the standard would be too short.
Hope this helps,

Scouts honor. :-) you can grab a tape measure, if you have one, and measure slot to slot. It is the same spacing as the SLI finger. The red slots are 40mm apart, for sure, so adding one in between would be 60.

If it is a metal tape measure, just put a piece of tape over the tape measure and don't push it into anything. Lol, I say it because some people will jam the hold tab into the slot... Don't do that. ;-)

Depends on the motherboard. My 60mm 2way sli bridge goes from slot 1 to slot 4 on the Maximus VI Formula.

Thanks! I failed to notice there were images of the bridge showing the connectors, it's more apparent to me now.

I have never seen the flicker issue untill the other day when i had dsr enabled with gsync+sli

I have an odd flicker during load screens with my Gsync monitor and the first gen EVGA pro bridge, think this will fix it?

Hi guys,

today I received my 3 GTX 980 SC with reference cooler. I installed them successfully, but when I run 3D Mark my screen blink few times and PC freezes. I tried Battlefield 4, while game loading screen is blinking and after loading is done I can here widows error sound, black screen and everything freezes again. I tried all cards separately they work fine, but as soon as I enable SLI it crashes. I tried 2 way SLI still getting the same problem. I have 3 GTX 980 SC with ACX 2.0 cooler they work perfectly fine, I decided to buy cards with reference cooler because ACX 2.0 getting very hot under load in 3Way sli. Can you please help me with your advice what should I try, should I do RMA or should I do some more testing? I reinstalled windows, thought maybe something was linked to my old cards and was conflicting with new cards, but it didn't helped. Few times I did clean driver installation.

Thank you!

I just installed 2 GTX 980s in SLI and I am getting this terrible flickering in games.
using the latest driver 344.75
Windows 7 64-bit

I only play battlefield from BF2 Badcompany to Bf4 , and tried driver from Ver 344.11 up to the current 344.65 ( also did reinstall Win 8.1-64 before try those drivers). Issue still.,,
Thanks!

I did the same thing here. The issue happen in any 3d app (Far cry3, crysis 3, batman arkham city, unigine valley, 3dmark ) as soon as the cards are under load the screen become black and it crash.

I did some more testing over the weekend.  I think I found a big clue to the problem.  To date, 2 way SLI has always work perfectly for me (regardless of 980 cards, MB, or PCI slots I use). But for the first time yesterday I saw the identical flicker with 2-way SLI,  What changed?  The 2-way bridge was on the connector closest to video out ports. (I normally use the one closer to the middle when running 2-way).  When I move the 2-way bridge back to my normal spot the flicker went away. This same result occurred with all 3 of my 2-way SLI bridges.

Could others check this with their rig.  Thanks.

I did some testing with sli bridge:

2 way sli that work

2 way sli that work

3 way sli don't work

3 way sli don't work

3 way sli don't work

none of these worked

3 way sli working in windowed mode

with the dip switch here I can turn on/off each pcie slot, so tested each card in each slot and they are all working perfectly by themselves. I'm pretty sure the hardware is not failing and other people here are experiencing the same issue with different board. I really don't want to test an other mobo.

other test I did that didn't help:
-installed windows on an other ssd with nothing else except the nvidia driver
-clean driver uninstall in safe mode and installed every possible driver
-updated bios, reseted bios/cmos
-updated windows and every possible driver
-cleaning the SLI ports on the cards with isopropyl
-downclocking the core gpu
-tested every output
-tested different cable
-tested different display monitor/tv
-Pulled the bridge slightly out so it doesnt bottom, flipped it, moved it while it was under load
nothing work.

I found some sort of work around to make3 way sli work. My monitor 1440p plugged in the dvi port and my tv 1080p is plugged in the hdmi port. If I clone the monitor display with my tv I can use 3 way sli without crashing. But the resolution drop to 1080p. I tested with 3dmark and the third card is working because I get much higher score than two way sli.

That's weird why does it work in duplicate screen or single screen in windowed mode but not in full screen with single monitor.

My display model is a Qnix2710 evolution II connected with a d-dvi cable male/male and my tv is a samsung ue55f6400 connected with an hdmi cable. I'm using the d-dvi port and the hdmi port on the first card.

I'm using the pcie_x16_1, pcie_x8_2 and pcie_x16/x8_3 like it's written in the manual for 3 way sli. The power plug(ez-plug) at the bottom is connected. I also connected both eatx plug(8 and 4 pins) for the cpu at the top.

I also noticed when the screen become black if I wait long enough it will sometimes go back to desktop with error message unigine stopped working for example.

I really want this to work. I have been thinking about this issue night and day for the last week this is driving me crazy why 3 way sli wont work there's no reason... I don't see what else I could do. I bet the next driver update wont help.

bridge must be using pins to set the pixel clock

this also does the same NVIDIA-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

Yes, yours are at 60mm.  we are talking about a completely different platform and you also skipping the rest of our conversation where it was discovered that he needs the 3 way bridge because of spacing due to his specific motherboard.
