I already have an EVGA SLI bridge that looks rather cool between my two EVGA Superclocked GTX 980s. I run them to my 4K 60Hz G-Sync Acer.

Now, what actual differences would I see moving to this new bridge.

Select EVGA GTX 970 graphics cards. I assume that means only the ftw+ and the new SSC.

In your situation primarily appearance. These new ones have aluminum shroud, improved LED lighting, shielded fingers, and a higher pixel clock. There were some cases that in some games/resolution/refresh rates would cause compatibility issues with older generation bridges. (Like flickering, etc)

How do I know which one to get? 2 way short or 2 way standard? I have my cards in the 1st and 4th x16 slots. I use the 2 way sli bridge that came with the x99 classified motherboard. Thanks
