I ordered Apr. 6, and Amazon said it would be coming between May 7th and 20th. I was excited when I saw the auto notifications from EVGA and Newegg that these were in stock, so I contacted Amazon to see if mine would ship from them (otherwise I'd buy from somewhere else). On Apr. 27 they said the 980 Hybrids were there and it would be "5-10 days", but that they'd work to make it sooner. So by the 7th, at the latest, right? Nope, today I get an email saying the date's been changed to between May 21 and June 16. Oh, and of course, EVGA and Newegg are out of stock by now. I'm mad at Amazon, and all they had to say was a bunch of lies about how that's what it originally said on the item page when I ordered it, and that the information I got on the 27th was correct at the time. Like that helps.

So just saying. I wouldn't be so positive on Amazon having them "up soon", especially if you ordered after I did. This is the first time that Amazon's let me down like this with some critical information like this. I'm really mad at them, and frustrated since I don't have a spare card to put in my new build right now.

So now I'll have to wait, what, up to two months to get my machine going? If anyone knows where I can get one of these sooner (not double price on Ebay) I'd cancel my Amazon order immediately.

Did you get your shipment notification yet?  Mine is arriving tomorrow.

What people with TITAN X say about Hybrid?
And their temps are much lower probably.

Really kinda sad that nvidia didn't bother including a backplate with the Titan X. Considering such a premium offering at a premium price point. I know that it doesn't make much of a difference except perhaps add rigidity to the PCB and maybe 1C off temps, but if the reference 980 has such a nice looking back-plate, the same could have been done with the Titan X. Sure you can argue that you can always add one yourself but that's besides the point, Here's hoping the 980Ti or whatever it's called when its launched doesn't skimp out on what was made standard.

I placed an order on Amazon on the 27th of April. Got a notification a little while ago that they'll be shipping earlier then expected. May 11th in fact. I asked the CS whether 1 day option (prime member) would help expedite it even further. Got bumped up to 1 day free shipping and the 3x AIOs arrive on the 8th of May which happens to be a Friday. Very happy with Amazon customer service personally.

Initially the order had something like May 21 to June 12 as the estimated ship date. So I'd check your orders page to see if there was an update made unless you cancelled your order.

Does the stand alone cooler option come with the back plate?  My reference EVGA 980 SC doesn't have one.

What Part Number is your Superclocked Card?
04G-P4-2983-KR supports a backplate but not the AIO Cooler and the 04G-P4-1982-KR supports no backplate but supports the AIO Cooler.
I have to ask but did you bother to look?

HYBRID Water Cooler (All in One) for GTX 980

I installed my Hybrid a few days ago my idle temps are amazing & load temps are amazing. I am a little annoyed about the radiator fan noise. My pc was virtually silent on idle before I installed my hybrid cooler. I have a fanless psu and a silent scythe cooler on my 4790k and an all ssd storage setup. I'm boosting to 1480 mhz (+203 mhz) and (+132mhz memory).  Silence when idle is a very important goal for me. Quietness when gaming is the reason I went with the hybrid kit.

I tried the maxwell bios tweaker to disable the fan's totally on cool temps. this does of course disable the original gpu fan but not the pump / fan.

Could anyone suggest a course of action? Stopping the rad fan with my finger clearly shows it's the noise making culprit.

a) can I slow down the radiator fan?
b) can I disable the radiator fan on cool temps?
c) can I easily switch the radiator fan to something silent?
d) any other suggestions?

your help would be greatly appreciated

regards

damien.
