Clean-install + new motherboard (Rampage V Edition 10) and new CPU - 6850k

Same issue still persists. Precision is causing 20 seconds of intense keyboard lag at start up. This is with stock settings, no OC on CPU or GPUs yet.

Mine does the same thing.  Same MB and CPU as you.

it took me over 3 months to figure out what was causing my keyboard lag.

Finally found someone posted EVGA Prevision was the cause on answers.micrsoft:

Looks like im going MSI Afterburner now.

I've suffered this issue for about 18 months without knowing what was to blame. Now I know: it's PrecisionX. It's really annoying, but apparently not critical enough to even warrant a single response from EVGA.

Since I started running PreX manually after startup the delay is completely gone.

Seriously, EVGA. Can you not even acknowledge this as an issue? I mean you pimp PreX on Steam and with every card you sell. Surely you understand this kind of bug can't be good for your brand. Windows 10 boots in seconds but then PreX eats all keyboard input for almost a minute?! (on my system the delay can range from 10 seconds to over a minute.. no idea what makes the difference)

I'm going to dig deeper into this tomorrow. Maybe someone with more technical ability can determine exactly what PreX is actually doing at startup to cause this. Then maybe we can shame EVGA into fixing it!

I think I have the same problem you guys are having.. the only way I can fix it is by changing the screen res. Just right click on the desktop and select display settings then scroll down and select Advanced Display Properties. Now just select any other screen res and hit apply. When the pop up comes up asking if you forsure want to keep the new res hit the revert button. That way your desktop icons don't get all scattered all over the place. Then everything is back to normal.

This is with Win10 Pro 64bit Anniversary edition
