Hi everyone, I have the same problem on Windnows 8.1 with the previous and the latest version of Evga Precision 5.3.10. I hope we can finally find a reason so it could be fixed by dev, because it is very annoying.

Just an update - have this on TWO machines, and both have the keyboard lag from startup.

Mouse, and clicking anything works fine.  Keyboard does not for the first minute or two, until Precision X finishes loading.

I am having this problem too. Keyboard input doesn't work for about 30 seconds - 1 minute after start-up. Once precision x loads, every key I've pressed during the delay are registered.

I am convinced at some point the tool is trying to register a global keyboard hook using SetWindowsHookEx and gobbles up events. This is a terrible approach for implementing your hotkey functionality as you're adding input delay to anything not running in exclusive mode.

I'm having this issue too. 20-30 seconds of insane input delay on keyboard. Dissappears if I am not running Precision. Tested on Win 8.1 and fresh install of Win 10.

Decided to come back to PX and use it, instead of afterburner. Want to run my evga system with evga overclocking software but my goodness does it take forever and ever for PX to start up on my fresh installed not even week old windows 10 64 bit install. On a fresh samsung 850evo with rapid mode enabled, every program is almost instantly started on boot. Then come PX and it takes almost a minute before i see it load up. So on this system which is a 4790k at 4.8ghz, with 2666mhz ram and fresh install. Something is not right. It should only take a matter of seconds to load.

Wish they would take this issue seriously, a lot of people are having this problem. I am only using Precision because there are no good alternatives.

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 64bit.  I had an older version of EVGA Precision prior, until last night when I logged in to install the newest version after the clean install.
- SanDisk Extreme Pro 240g  (31g used, 191 Free)
- Intel Core i5 3570k, 3.40Ghz
- 16gb RAM DDR3
- ASrock z77 extreme4 mobo

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1)  Launch EVGA PrecisionX 16
2)  Apply at Windows Startup by choosing this start up option. ("Start Up: On")

Removing the Startup Option ("Start Up: Off") immediately corrected the issue on subsequent reboots.
Re-enabling it allows the issue to be reproduced on demand (on future reboots).

OF NOTE:
With "Start up: On" enabled, during application startup just after logging in, I notice that EVGA Precision X starts briefly, then disappears.  After waiting the 30 seconds to a minute (the time that keystrokes are severely lagging), it re-appears again, then the Keystroke lagging stops.

I have the same issue. It's been driving me crazy! Precision X 5.3.10.. Just my thought, could be the automatic updater. Before updating, I would get the 30 second lawl and then the 'Update to such and such version' pops up.
Don't laugh at my old cpu. I'm frugal like that :P
