That makes things more clear, but in the pictures above, which is for the SC and which is for the FTW? The contours of each backplate are distinct, so which one goes with which card? Thanks.

They don't look correct to me based on this.

Thanks for your help. Just wanted to make sure I didn't install the wrong product for my card. Didn't want to damage anything.

These three outlined transparent tapes should remain on the backplate prior to installation?

I think you are supposed to leave those on the backplate, only the protective film is to be removed. But I would wait on one of the tech support guys to confirm this.

Anyone confirm the question above?

I contacted directly with EVGA support and they told me that the transparent tapes should be there, and should not be removed.

Welcome to the Forum Connor36
You will have to search the Internet for one and maybe you will find one.
What is the Part Number of your Card?

You would have better luck if you had created your own Thread as the Subject for this one is;
"Backplate 100-BP-2981-B9 for my EVGA SC GTX 980 ACX 2.0. 04G-P4-2983-KR does NOT fit"

Also this Thread is over a year old "Tuesday, February 24, 2015 2:12 PM" was the last Post.

Hello. I, I have read all about the backplate and mess that he has committed and continues to commit the Evga ... But my problem in finding the remains backpllate. On the Internet, I did not find anything at all ... I was able to find the backplate for the Titan 980, that if you look at the images is identical to what it takes to my card model. Although the number of the code is different ... I also contacted customer services dell'Evga, but still have not answered me. And to think that many had advised me not to take Evga products ... With what I paid, a backplate they could put in the package ...
