Changing the terms of a promotion without any warning while the promotion is still running is super dodgy.
 
Who would double check the conditions if they had already seen a retailer advertising their participation a few days earlier.
 
I was also told by Amazon to get my code from EVGA so I went here to try claim it.
 
It clearly says on the EVGA promotion page that I get a GOW4 game with the model I purchased. au.evga.com/articles/01055/gears-of-war-4-bundle/
 
EVGA support claimed that it was only for hardware purhcased from their website...it doesnt say that on the promotion page. Clearly says buy the card and get the game.
 
Its just been such a disappointing experience...you would think between Amazon, Nvidia and EVGA someone would just give you a game code.

ordered my evga 1070sc  9/29 from B&H.  received email stating i would receiving my email with the code which i did a few days later.

Big reason I picked my card up finally! The code was at the bottom of my microcenter receipt. Currently in the process of getting my cases RMA'd with evga (GTX 1080 FTW) but my laptop has a 1070 in it and got to play some horde last night!! Amazing game and played just fine in 4K on a 1070!

That said the fact this works so well even on a 1070 and 1060 makes this a great promo!! Thanks evga!

Totally forgot I received Gears for free with my 1070.  To busy playing FallOut4.  I will have to get this installed and see how it plays
