Whats the chance I could get a download link for the version from last year. I recently did this upgarde to 5.3 and I get driver display errors and the fan doesnt work properly. This ran rock solid with an older version from last year....

I can't get 5.3.11 Precision X OSD to work with Doom.  Any chance there will be a fix?

EDIT: Resetting along with enabling windows start up seemed to fix the issue.

I'm trying to get Precision X to work with my 970 (EVGA SSC version), but all I get is the below screen - as though there's no graphics card to detect. I've tried a few different things but I figured I'd see if anyone here has any idea what I'm doing wrong before I go further down the rabbit hole - is there something obvious I've missed? Do I need to change some settings somewhere?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am told a 'fix' is in the works but no mention of when. In the meantime, MSI Afterburner does support OGL: http://www.guru3d.com/fil...ner-beta-download.html

Hey guys, I have a 1080 founder's edition and (please be gentle this is my first time) the guys at the MicroCenter said that all of the founder edition cards are the same (regardless of the brand on the box). Because of this I purchased the only one they had (it wasn't EVGA). Now I am trying to launch Precision X (the newest build) and the first time it said it did not detect an EVGA card and asked me to tell it what kind of card I had. Then, nothing happened. The software never popped up. So I restarted, same issue. Uninstalled, restarted - reinstalled....nothing. I can not get it to start now. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

IDK if the new PrecisionX is 'proprietary' to EVGA boards only or not. You can try MSI Afterburner beta but remember it is in beta and there might be some functions that aren't available yet. http://www.guru3d.com/fil...ner-beta-download.html

I don't think that is the case because the download page says that it is compatible right now with the 1080 and the only 1080 available at the moment is the founder's edition.

For the new Pascal cards, Precision X OC needs to be downloaded - Link, which is different than the regular Precision.

BTW, you need an Evga card for it to work:

System Requirements

  • GeForce GTX 1080 (EVGA card required for full versions)
  • Microsoft Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista

XrayMan, that is EXACTLY the problem. The knowledgeable folks at MicroCenter told me that all the Founder's Edition cards are "identical" so I bought the only one they had in stock (not an EVGA). I will be returning it and waiting until I can get my hands on one of yours.

Thanks!

That is exactly the problem. The department store I bought it at told me that all the Founder's cards were the same - clearly that is not the case. I will be returning the one I bought and trying to find an EVGA one. Thank you.
