** 4.21 version works fine ,, , any upgrade attempt after that one gives me the error notice .
** Steam version of newest version works fine .... no error pop up installed fine...
Not wanting to have to launch steam and have it running as well just to use precision I switched to afterburner ...it is working as well.
 
 
 
 
 

Stick with AB or 4.2.1 then, so that you can keep going. Sorry the regular install isnt working.

Anybody got a problem running the new version (5.3.9)? I've already tried updating from the previous version and completely reinstalling but everytime I try to run it it just sits in the task manager eating up one whole core (no icon in the task bar, no app window, nothing). Any help appreciated.

Okay, gonna list out some stuff that I'm having trouble with.
1. Program takes a very long time, ~90 sec to start up with Windows
2. Voltage in Overboost will not remain constant and regularly lowers itself by 6-12mV after reboot
3. Program will occasionally make the Windows start menu behave very strangely (may have something to do with the fact that I have surround enabled)
4. Temp target lowers itself from 91C to 90C after every reboot
5. Experiencing strange stuttering and interface lag for the first 30 sec after turning on my computer when start up is enabled
 
There are some other things I'd personally like to see changed like the confusing requirement for OV to be enabled to utilize Overboost and the inability to uninstall/disable EVGA server while PX is installed, but if the above things were fixed, I'd be happy.

Yes I'm experiencing the same issue as well. I've tried to revert back to 5.3.8 but found I was still facing the same problem of it showing up in my Processes but the program itself is nowhere to be found.

This happened to me also, but i fixed it by uninstalling and then deleting the EVGA folder.  I then reinstalled it and all was back to normal.

5.3.9 update seems to be broken. After updating from 5.3.8 it is not starting at all.
I did even unistall 5.3.8 and reinstalled 5.3.9 and nothing its not booting and I cannot trigger exe on Windows 10 64.
Going back to 5.3.8 :( I hope this one will work again.

This happened to me also, but i fixed it by uninstalling and then deleting the EVGA folder.  I then reinstalled it and all was back to normal.

That only worked for me during the same session. After rebooting the PC I could not see PrecisionX working anymore on my taskbar nor could access it :(

Just installed PrecisionX 16 on windows 10 PC, tried to open it and nothing is displaying. Opened task manager I it running. But the desktop show nothing. Please help 
EVGA 970 04G-P4-3975-KR card the fans never come on hoping this will fix my issue.
