For anyone with this new version of Precision set to start when Windows starts and wondering how to keep 5 instances of the Server from showing up in your task bar when you start up your computer do this:
 
1. Right-click on Computer in your start menu and click Manage.
2. Open Task Scheduler and click on Task Scheduler Library.
3. Right-click on EVGAPrecisionX and click Properties.
4. Click on the Triggers tab and then click Edit.
5. Under Advanced Settings at the bottom select Delay Task For: and enter 1 minute.
6. Done. Now Precision will start one minute after boot up and won't show up 5 times in your task bar.
 
So now back to my earlier questions. How do I change the colors of the text on the system tray for items I have placed there like GPU Usage and GPU Temp so that I can tell them apart? And also how do I stop the PrecisionX 16 Server from starting at all and showing up in my system tray? I need it about as much as a shark needs doorknobs. Thanks!

No problem. I had the same problem with RealTemp and its system tray stuff and solved it the same way. I am starting to suspect it is a bug in Windows 7 since I've seen it so much on so many different machines when it comes to stuff in the system tray.

I dont know how to change the colors of the monitor icon for different values on the tray bar... in the previous version i can change the colors, now i see all the icons on red! Please help me!

Same here. I'm starting to suspect they are ignoring us.

Thanks tyger. Sadly, the app also makes every game crash on alt-tabbing so I'll try some other software.

Has anyone suddenly had font issues?
 
All of sudden fonts in Chrome are screwed up.
 
No issues in IE; just Chrome--Facebook, Forum, etc. Everything is blocky bold.
 
It didn't occur until I installed X16.

Now I'm seeing font problems in various programs as well. Man I'm very glad I was already planning to reformat my hard drive this weekend. This seals the deal. Now I just need to find the old version of Precision I was using before this mess.

This issue has been reported multiple times. Jacob from EVGA says that they are looking into it.

You don't need to reinstall Windows to fix this issue. Please see the following threads on this subject.

Im following the same thing, if is not possible change the colors, i will go back to the previous version. If you get it in some website, please, send me the link for MP!!

So, I guess I'll list my issues in case someone from EVGA looks in here. Some of these are repeating in one of the posts listed above.
 
1. Screenshot button doesn't work
2. No OSD customization (RTSS with Precision X before allowed various levels of hooking applications as well as other options like supporting custom files, like if you're injecting smaa, as well as just basic color and location options)
3. No screenshot customization (you can choose png or jpeg but for jpeg there's no quality slider like what was in Precision X before)
4. That font issue should be fixed. It didn't even occur to me that this program could have caused the weird font things I was experiencing. It's not that big a deal for me but it's annoying nonetheless.
