Hey Nate...I saw your little install piece with pictures for these awesome waterblocks for the classy (thanks for that). I finally have almost all my parts in! Yay! So the question is...

After I do a burn in on everything..Do I need to prep the copper(seal, clean, lap) or anything before I mount it to the board for the next 5 years..lol

Thanks!

not necessary to do anything to it.  Just mount it.  I would experiment between 0.5mm, and 1mm thermal tape and see which works best for you.

Be careful to not get alky or solvents on the sides if you give the blocks a quick wipe, might take off the black color.  Great temps on 1.5mm padding too if you prefer more cushion for the... well never mind

I don't think the color will "come off".  The plastic is delrin and is black by nature.  I haven't really touched delrin to many solvents, but it is durable stuff.  Thats why I use it.

In any case, WHO WANTS IN ON BATCH 2?!

Delrin is OK with neutral solvents, according to its datasheet.  Just don't go using HCl to clean it and it should be fine :)

Sorry I'm late to the party but I have not followed this thread but Nate are you making custom full MB waterblock for the EVGA classified MB? I asked EK and they told me they have no plans to make MB water blocks for the EVGA classified board.      ?????

I am quite surprised being the GPU waterblock manufacturer for the 900 series.  Curious to know what happened with Swiftech in that aspect.
