Hello druger81, and welcome to the forums. Unfortunately the cables for the G2 are not compatible with the G1.

Is it all the cables or just certain ones? I would be willing to spend the $30 for the set if at least a couple of wires would work, mainly the one for my video card.

I think there's a minor issue with the listing for these:

In the Power Supply section of the website it only seems to show the red ones: http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=10&family=Power+Supplies&chipset=+Power+Supply+Cable+Set+(Individually+Sleeved)

But in the accessories section you can see all of them: http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=2&family=Power+Supplies&chipset=+Power+Supply+Cable+Set+(Individually+Sleeved)

I would certainly like to find some combs that fit these cables. I believe Cable Mods must be using an 18 gauge wire or the sleeving is a thinner diameter than these. I've tried the Cable Mods combs and they just snap and break due to their hard  plastic consistency, If some knows of combs that will fit the 24 pin cpu cable and the vga 8+6 pin let me know.

Yes that would be nice...I know a lot of people who like that color and I saw many of them use from MDPC-X.
They have Titanium Grey, Platinum Grey... I saw somewhere and Titanium Silver....
But I will not like MDPC-X sleeve until they start to sell 3mm instead only 5mm.

You have Shade 19 which is an anthracite color.  More black than it is grey.  Then there is Titanium Grey and the new color Platinum Grey.

The 3mm does make cable sleeving easier, but the MDPC sleeve can be used on more items because of it's expansion.  Plus with a proper stretch, it looks awesome.

I opted to go the MDPC way because I want to do a mix of color and that wouldn't be possible using with the EVGA or Cablemod wires. But in the overall scheme of things, if you are looking for sleeved wires in a single color, then going with these sets is the way to go because it's actually cheaper than purchasing the sleeve and doing it yourself.  Not to mention the amount of time require to do everything.  And Cablemod also offers sets in a mix of colors.

Some stores sell 3mm sleeve cables, only not MDPC-X.
That's simply to fat, fat for PSU wires and fan wires, even 3-4 fan wire could perfectly to fit in 3mm sleeve.
I can;t wait to PSU cables become one single cable as power cord. Than sleeve could look nice, with plastic on the end as USB connector or similar.

That's already been tried once and it was kind of a hassle to use because it didn't flex all that well.  It was a great idea that wasn't quite as useful as you might have thought.

Thats the Ultra XConnect PSU.  One of the very first modular PSU's to hit the market.  Back when 500w was a huge PSU.  They abandoned the single cable after that PSU and went to ribbonstyle cables that could be split into the single strand cables we're used to now.
