I was just hoping enough people asking would catch the eye of somebody from EVGA. I do a daily Google for anything new.

I think it's not because Titan only, some rumors talk about possible Maxwell on summer or autumn.
For such strong and expensive card near Titan Black need at least 6 months free space without something new on horizon.
If NVIDIA delay Maxwell to the New Year or 2015 and deliver small number of Titan Black than GTX780Ti 6G could be excellent option.
I don't know but if EVGA decide to go with GTX780 6GB maybe is smarter option.
Because 6GB is usually connected with SLI configuration and more people could pay GTX780 6GB SLI and that would be incredible setup for higher resolutions. Because for 1050$ you get 780 6GB SLI , same memory as Titan Black, much better performance and GTX780 is excellent for OC too.

Hello My Friend
I want to ask about difference between EVGA GeForce GTX 780 6GB SC w/ EVGA ACX Cooler and EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Dual Classified w/ EVGA ACX Cooler
I have noticed the GTX 780 3GB Dual Classified is better in Base Clock,Boost Clock ,Texture Fill Rate and overclocking but in memory the  GTX 780 6GB SC is better.

Is that mean the GTX 780 6GB SC is better because it has memory size more than GTX 780 3GB Dual Classified
And
When I could  choose EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Dual Classified w/ EVGA ACX Cooler or EVGA GeForce GTX 780 6GB SC w/ EVGA ACX Cooler

My best regard

damn so much for the "auto-notify" --  Didn't get a peep from EVGA and it is now sold out on newEgg.

so just pulled the trigger on a 780Tiam i screwed on stepping up to 6GB ?

Don't bother stepping up. If you look at reviews of the Titan Black (virtually a 6gb 780ti) vs a 3gb 780ti there is no difference. Even at high resolutions. Even most recent reviews of the new Radeon 295x2 (4gb x 2) vs a Titan or 780ti at high surround resolutions the Nvidia cards are not as good. Keep in mind the Radeon only has 1gb more of ram than your 780ti. Its only at 2560x1440 and under is when Nvidia pulls ahead. So with 3gb or 6gb there will not be much difference as you'll most likely run out of gpu horsepower before you hit the ram cap. This of course excludes modded games like Skyrim, but this goes back you'll almost always run out of gpu hp before running out of gpu memory.

One word X-Planei do a lot simming and i can max out the ram on the 3GB card with out tryingalso games coming out in next year or 2 will easily use more then 3GB of ram (im looking at you Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk)

sorry.. never played X-Plane.
As for Watcher and Cyberpunk, if they aren't multiplayer games I will never play them on pc. In the next two years ill have upgraded at least once. Again... you'll run out of horsepower before ram -----> if you upgrade once a generation it will not matter.
The 6gb 780 or 6gb 780ti will only benefit those at 4k resolutions, but rght now Nvidia's high end cards do not do as well as the high end Radeon cards with just 1gb more of ram. Many reviews show the ram isnt the issue either. To me... any current gen Nvidia's card being re-released with more ram is Fool's Gold to those who already plopped hard earned $ on 700 series card; this comes from someone who has/had sli Titans.
The 780ti is a monster card and it oc like crazy. Sajin (very cool EVGA forum's member) and many others have also confirmed counterpart cards with the less memory tend to oc better. My friend's 780ti oc to 1255 on air, whereas my Titan only clocked up to 1150. Both are on stock bios, too.

Witcher 3 doesnt come out till next year and if Witcher 2 is any thing to go by IT WILL use that much ram
Titan Fall already can use 4GB
X-Plane and other flight sims can use 6GB of vram with out blinking
mine is running 1200 on just its own boost with out any help from me and settles in around 1150 Mhz  i did nudge the base up to 1Ghz for the heck of it

but for my needs i want more ram even if it costs some speed

Titanfall does not use 4gigs of vram, no game does. No game uses 3gb of ram either. Use and allocation are 2 different things altogether.

$1100 you mean for 780 sli w/6gb memory.............Id rather wait and save up an extra $300 and get the 3gb 780 ti that has 1152 more CUDA cores................SMX/shader count is ALOT more important than a few extra gigs of vram regardless of the resolution. The standard 3gb of vram on the 780/780ti in single or 2 way sli card setup is not going to be the bottleneck featuring a GK110.

Guys, for 3x1080 LCD - 3 or 6 GB SLI?

3gb sli, $100 premium for double the vram will get you 0 extra performance.........been proven already.

Well, thats surprising, so 6GB only for more than 60Hz or better 4K? Can i ask for any link to "evidence"?
I'm waiting for Ti 6GB version but maybe just hit with 3GB to play with 3xlcd?

There are posts and write-ups on Anandtech, techpower, OC.net, TH etc etc............the bottleneck regardless if your running a single or triple monitors has always proven to be either the gpus or cpu BEFORE the memory even plays a factor.

For example, assuming all graphical settings are the same(except native resolution): To equal the performance of a single GTX 780 ti @ 1080p  you would need 4 GTX 780 ti's at 2160p......and that's assuming 100% linear scaling(which is not the case as 4 way sli in most cases is no better than 2 way sli, and can be WORSE).

Knowing this I get a kick outta people worrying about having 6gigs of vram....................by the time you can actually utilize that amount of memory on applications, your going to have other bottlenecks kick in WELL BEFORE.

Which is why I think and KNOW that 6gb on a GK110 is worthless, especially on the entry level 780 version with 576 less CUDA cores. Id rather save up a bit more and get a 3gb 780 ti with all the extra SMX/cuda cores enabled..................that is a SIGNIFICANT performance boost.
