How much does the extra 7 years warranty cost though? If ur spending 900 pounds plus on a titan black etc it should be a lifetime warranty as standard imo. Their warranty options are gd i guess but they cost a lot no? Im in uk so i guess its different here.

The 7 Year Extended warranty allows step up from a lower Model (760-770 any version) to a higher Model like a 780 (REFERENCE PCB). This does not allow for step up to a Classified, or from a Classified to a higher Classified.  You may NEVER use the option to step-up, but name another company that lets you beat the poo out of your hardware, and then send it back for the exact same price you paid, to pay the difference for something better?  Think about that..  You may buy from someone else, but if you aren't fully satisfied, and want more, you pay out of pocket and HOPE that you can get away with losing 10%  of your hard earned money, while EVGA sits back nicely saying, "We offer step up for Reference PCBs, and "They" Don't"

Something to think about.

Is the extended warranty worth it?  Yeah.  I bought it because I paid for the Expensive card, and I wanted to guarantee it is protected.. Once again, find another company that offers that direct.  I don't mean New Egg or Amazon.. I mean the company, NO MIDDLE MAN.

Agree Scarlet.  EVGA makes incredible cards.  I love my GTX 780 Classified and qualify for step up but decided it's not worth giving up my Classified model.  And nobody in their right mind would want to step down to a GTX 780 SC from a GTX 780ti even if it was going to a 6 GB card, unless you mistakenly bought the GTX 780ti anyway.
