i've got a gtx 780 3gb classified, is it worth upgrading to the gtx 780 6gb for 2k res?
i've around 5 weeks with my 780 classi.

You are joking, that's 25% clear downgrade. You will see huge performance drop even on 1920x1080 with x4MSAA...
I don't go over x4MSAA because that's for 2 cards, but with GTX780 only AA, MSAA on Off in many games.
If you want 55-60fps without drop. GTX780Ti is GOD and price difference for single card for me worth 100%...
GTX780 6GB is perfect card for guys who want to make SLI. For them GTX780 6GB is best option.
Imagine Me, step-up from KP Classy on reference GTX780 6GB,... hospital immediately...
downgrade in 3 section, only more memory and that is least important...
576 CUDA core less, about 200MHz less base clock, and 200MHz less boost clock, 150MHz slower memory, but more video memory.
That's new program, step-down.

But I press button on 6GB page, I'm now signed, only I don't know why...because for us with Classified models and GTX780Ti 6GB reference is not solution.

not joking ^ i ran bf4 96-105 fps avg max settings with just the gtx 780 class oc to +150+200 mem.
& i think i'll get 50+ fps avg with just the 780 class @2kres . Was just asking because apparently even @ 1080 people are using over 2.5gb on bf4 on some maps. Also got one of those korian qnix monitor should be here next week.
To me the gtx 780 ti was not worth the+200$ from the gtx 780 class that i got for 517$. When i was able to play bf4 @96+fps.

Spec:i7 4770k oc 4.3/gtx 780 classified/128gb ssd m4 crucial/3tb/16gb corsair vengeance @1600/maximus iv hero/650w corsair psu.2560x1440 qnix monitor should be here next week.

The reference cards can be overlocked too classified clock rates too.

Because it would be a step down, minus the extra VRAM. GTX 780 to gtx 780 ti is a step up not the other way round. Also if you want to step up then wait for the 6GB version of gtx 780 ti. I think it'll be available from June onwards (Not Sure On This One, maybe Jacob or someone authorized could confirm on this one).

I have a GTX 780 Ti Classified. It's not listed on the eligible cards list. I bought it directly from EVGA. Is it eligible for the step-up program or not? I haven't seen benchmarks comparing the Titan Black vs 780 Ti Kingpin vs 6GB GTX 780. The current step-up appears to be for the non-Ti version of the 780, with 6GB as the differing feature.

I really want to know when this is expected to drop. I just bought my 780 at the beginning of the month!

Early to mid April.

Will there be an HC model, and if so, will it also be released in that time frame?

I purchased a GTX 780 Classified Edition and did not know they will release a 6Gb version. If I knew I would have never bought it until I get the 6gb version. I am a month late for the Step-Up cut off this is really unfair ...

Looks like it's true.

Kingpin & Classy will also be getting 6GB.

Anyone have an ETA on the 6gb Kingpin? Just bought one earlier this month.

I really hope the 780 6GB will be released by 2nd or 3rd week of April, I am dying to get one as I'll be building my new PC by then. :(

Does anyone know if the board changes? For example; would the EK waterblocks on my EVGA GTX 780 SC be compatible with the 6GB 780

I second this question, although for the full waterblock (IE Hydrocopper etc), especially since step-up does not include them pre-attached

for those of you that are wining and crying about stepping up to 6gb.
do you even realize that a single 780ti will choke before 3gb worth of vram will ever get used up?  even 780ti sli is bearly nose above water.

so unless you are you are running: 780ti trisli?  and 3K+ resolution?  and max eye candy with AA.  6gb does not even apply to you.
no need to get all bent.

sorry for the reality check n tough love.

anyway - when is the 780ti 6gb coming out?  looking for a trisli or quadsli setup for BF4 at 3k resolution with all the eye candy.
