Dear ericr9384, I am very sorry for any inconvenience as I have read through your posts and I do believe that your issue might be related to the older BIOS that you running along with the use of your newer GTX 760 graphics card. If you do have another graphics card besides the GTX 760 then can you install that card and see if it posts and then upgrade the BIOS to version 2.04? Please email me confirming your shipping address if you do not have another graphics card available and I will assist with expediting a BIOS update to you to assist. chrisb@evga.com

Tried that with a GT 210 and I got a D6 post code. I've been in love with your guys' products but recently you're letting me down. Is there a GPU you can recommend that I will be able to boot with? I'm willing to make this work. It's the whole reason I started this build.

Also could you explain how the bios update would help if I cannot pass the post code splash screen.

No... I said return the board.... Anyway, I was sort of joking... Thanks for letting me waste your time nonetheless.

You know what guy if I may. I wish to apologize, my frustration with this build took me to a place that I don't like. Thanks for your help

Yeah, I hear you on that...  Not being able to get into the bios pretty much leaves you stranded, and frustrated.  Maybe EVGA will just send you a new bios chip with the latest bios??

Dear ericr9384,

If you are receiving a D6 post code with another graphics card then this is might be a different issue. Please try the GT 210 in a different slot and if the errors continue please make sure that the CPU cooler is not over tightened.

I am working on having the BIOS chip sent to you to resolve the post issues with the GTX 760 as soon as possible to assist.

I did try the card in different slots. I'm assuming the card is bad at this point. Same D6 code. I just bought for this purpose too. My life is filled with woes. CPU Cooler is about as loose as it can get without loosing contact.

Can you post and image of your MB layout.
I hit the tiny switch and turn on PCIe Slot 1 by error and I then set them all off then all on and my Titan card then worked.

May not be related but can you try it or have you tried it with one stick of RAM.

Hello
I know this is a very old post but perhaps this info could be helpful to someone.
I just bought the X79 FTW, I know is considered old tech by now, but the thing is a friend gave me as a gift a 3960X Sandy bridge E CPU he was not using anymore and I had some stock of DDR3 ram, so I decided to build a X79 rig. Although I've never owned a motherboard from EVGA  I found a new EVGA X79 FTW at a very good price and didn't hesitate.
Yesterday when I finished the system and tried to boot, using an Asus GTX 1070 Strix, I got the exact same issue you're describing in this thread.
Solution: I put an old EVGA GTX 460 I had somewhere and boom, everything worked, then I updated the BIOS to the latest version available and now I'm running the system with my Strix 1070 without problems. Now I'm trying to run my Corsair memory using the XMP profiles but for some reason if I try to put the memory profiles in other but auto the system does not boot. I've done some research and this and some USB port problems seem to be common with these boards, for now I will continue looking for answers.
