Are you running BIOS or UEFI?

B2 typically is a video card error. Before you go blaming EVGA or your motherboard you might want to trouble shoot this further.

I'm not sure if you were looking but my GPU, PSU, Mobo are all EVGA. I did contact EVGA and they told me it was a "Bad Board". Again what are the odds?! Am I running BIOS? Can't get to it. UEFI? Can't get past post.

That doesn't matter????

your Using old tech in kinda new tech.

There are Video cards out there with old BIO's on them the will give the b2 or b4 code.

How is that all us other X79 users are doing just fine then?

Try updating the CLassy BIOS to 2.04

What are your BIOS settings?

Hey Guy. I really appreciate your feedback and assistance but I can't get anywhere. Here is my question to you. I put that new GPU on a definitely old Mobo (790i Ultra SLI) and got no codes. AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THE BIOS IS OUTDATED. Oh and I can't get past the Post Code Splash Screen so no BIOS screen for me.

Just stick with the 790i Ultra SLI...  Great board!!! I've still got mine and it runs great in my recording studio.  Send the X79 back for a refund.

The board is not mine. It's my friends PC so that's not a choice. And if it were what just keep a three hundred dollar board as a dust collector? Come on bro don't waste my time.

No... I said return the board.... Anyway, I was sort of joking... Thanks for letting me waste your time nonetheless.

Dear ericr9384,

I am very sorry for any inconvenience as I have read through your posts and I do believe that your issue might be related to the older BIOS that you running along with the use of your newer GTX 760 graphics card.

If you do have another graphics card besides the GTX 760 then can you install that card and see if it posts and then upgrade the BIOS to version 2.04? Please email me confirming your shipping address if you do not have another graphics card available and I will assist with expediting a BIOS update to you to assist. chrisb@evga.com
