or the one that came with your Motherboard

No, not the one you've illustrated but the EVGA Pro SLI Bridge 2-way (100-2W-0021-LR). It is this bridge that does not fit the Asus motherboard. Instead, I've been obliged to use the flexible 2-way bridge that came with the board, although I am curious whether I could substitute the rigid 3-way bridge that also came with the board.

the link i sent is for the 31-LR not the 21-LR (60mm)
your red pci-e slots are each 40mm apart, if you are using the 1st and 3rd slots / 80mm apart you can use the 31-LR

Sorry for the tardy response. And for the confusion: the 21-LR is the bridge that I had ordered but which did not fit the two cards. I see the 3-way bridge, which you feel will join the two cards? Can I assume then that a 3-way bridge can be used in a 2-way configuration? (I measure approximately 81mm between the two sets of pins on the Asus bridge.) Assuming that they both the EVGA and Asus bridges are identical in their 3-way configuration, it would seem that I could use either one, although the EVGA certainly is the more handsome.

Thank you, Pgcmoore, for your patient help. I've ordered the 31-LR, which certainly is going to look better than the supplied Asus bridge.

no problem, don't forget to loosen the GPU mounting screws when attaching a solid SLI bridge so it makes proper contact and tighten them back up after its on securely.

Just wondering with the Sli Pro Series, does it light up with the 970 Series?
Never mind I got the bad news
from another post. One would think it should!!!
with today's technology.
