lol ... in that case I will engrave it myself =P

I noticed you are also in Aus, in that case if you do end up doing some engraving on this block, I might ask if we can't work something out and I'll get mine sent to you and engraved and then sent to me if that's something you might be willing to workout with me

No worries, sure we could work something out ;)
I would engrave it myself as I have access to a couple of computer engraving machines (old employer).
Similar to the CNC nateman uses but more suited to engraving than heavy machining.

OK, here are three different options:

For anyone interested the 'DARK' font is called Bitsumishi but the 'X79" is what appears to be custom text
(I had to make it from scratch).

Its about an inch thick, also there are screws in the way.

Yeah, there would be about 20mm x 30mm engrave-able area, probably just enough to fit the
X79 DARK text but it would be small, need to wait till you have the screws on it to
measure the exact area available.

This black matte doesn't show fingerprints.  The prototype will be Aluminum.  So far I only have 3 folks on board for the first batch.  2 EVGA employee's and the person who donated the board for the test fitting process.

Other then that here is the list of folks who also are interested:

I plan to have a prototype made and a test fit installed by the end of the week.  Then I will PM you guys some pricing.  I generally accept deposits for the raw material which allows me to purchase the material and get to work, then when the block is done, the labor and shipping is due.

You guys should subscribe to the thread if your not already.  TheBoatswains board should be here Tuesday.  My new CNC isn't 100% done, but it can function at the moment, and i will likely make these blocks on the new machine.

Hey Nateman, please add me to the list.  I'll be featuring the X79 Dark in my Cosmos Cruizer build, , and I'm very interested in incorporating this block into my cooling loop.  :)

I quite like the first one. Would be interested in that one most likely once I've seen a mock up :D

Out of interest, where are you getting your X79 DARK from? You waiting for it to land here in Aus or getting it through another service?

I already have mine, received it the other day, was a step up for my faulty X79 FTW.
I will be building my PC soon to test all is OK and plan to add full water cooling when I have everything.
