The first video was plastic over the block.  Was that your "insurance policy" first?  To see if the position was good?  heh, smart ;)

Yeah, better safe than sorry, first trick I learnt when engraving odd shaped objects

Nice one Sneaky. Was good to watch the video.
Just looking at the pictures above, it looks like there are some scratches on one of the Chipset blocks. In the middle of the large E on the right hand block. Is that just hair on the block?
These look amazing mate, can't wait to get a hold of them.

Yeah unfortunately, one of them has slight scratches on it (was there when I unboxed them) but don't fret,
I am going to put a fine hand linish on them so scratches and milling marks will be gone.
Don't worry, it will look even better.

resin is hardening right now, taking longer than expected,
they now only have a casting resin which is a 2 to 1 ratio mixture as opposed to
the old marine resin which had a more aggressive hardener that was 5 to 1.
I'll post pics when finished later tonight.

That red is perfect.

Really amazing stuff, can't wait to get my hands on these beauties. Any idea of the drying time?

The left over resin in the cup has already cured but the blocks I cannot
get too hot so they are taking longer, maybe another hour?
Yeah really lucked out with the red as it is the only red they have lol

OK, finally done. Everything that could have gone wrong did tonight ... one of those days I hope to forget.
Good news and bad news, one of the Block sets came out great, the other not so great.
Being a new Epoxy resin I had not used before I thought it wise to fill the blocks in batches so I at least had a 50/50 chance
of getting one good batch, well I was right, got my mixtures right with one set but the other I put slightly to much
hardener in and the finish came out blotchy. Not to worry though, I will keep that set as I can fill them again when i have time.
Acesi7, you get the good set
Here are your blocks, you will notice that the red on the small engraving on the Chipset block is darker, that
is unavoidable, there is only so much red pigment I can mix with the epoxy and that engraving being so small,
it is not very deep so the darkness is that you can see the black Delrin through the epoxy.
I think it looks good though, makes the big E more prominent.
The photo's don't really do them justice, they look much better when in front of you.
