Yes 2/3 times... Nothing happened except the fact that the driver told me that there is no hardware detected....
I don't know what to do....

Nothing is detected in windows but the option USB3 in the bios is set to "ENABLED" and when i go (always in the bios) to the usb configuration i've got only the usb 2.0 ports that appears...

USB 3.0 isn't in USB Configuration, its under Onboard Device Configuration

here is a picture I took of it

(btw for those wondering, pch azalia is the onboard sound, I been looking around where to disable it and that was it, it confused me at first)

unfortunate no I don't see usb 3.0 configurable anywhere, I don't have any usb 3.0 devices anyway to test mine.

Hey, guys.  I have been having issues with my new GTX 780 card and been frame rate drop of 60 down to 14 at times game play.  So I thought it may be the bios. So I updated to the new bios.  Not sure if it is correct.  The Bios Version lists - 685 0.22 x64.  Is this correct?  I am running an I7 2600k on a Z68 SLI.  I had to up my ram to the correct 1600 setting, but im not sure what else to check in the bios after I reset them.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Maybe try different drivers? I have the same board with R22 bios and a 2600K as well, my GTX 770 works fine on it with 326.80 drivers

here's where I am after nearly a year of ownership on this board and a few bios updates.( I'm on r22 now methinks)

according to Eleet....
I'm currently running with my i5 2500k:
core speed 4789
multiplier 48
bus speed 99.8

So it looks like best I can tell..I've got a pretty fast box now. Ran FC3 at max setting with no issues.

Vcore is running auto in bios and is providing 1.47v.seems a little high

CPU temps may be a little higher 55-62 at idle then I like, but the system doesn't bsod except in GTA IV with an audio driver issue ( I have to clock down a bit for that game to be solid)

it would surely be good to have some detailed explanations of the various readouts in Eleet..I've been able to cob together some basics..but no manual?..please hire an intern to create one....I get conflicting information about the meaning of the temps I'm seeing. I guess if they don't show over 80..I should be ok.

The system is typically recording 2 + HDTV channels on a ceton TV card, displaying video from my surveillance cameras on the property and streaming music of video to some other device in the home. I've been able to run this machine up to 18 hours a day with very solid performance

frankly speaking I got so tired of redoing all windows authorizations and keys that I gave up making any changes in bios that might brick the system..sure I can reflash, but win7 insists I go thru the pain of all validations for office and all other "protected" software. What happened to windows using the onboard mac address to prove it's the same machine?

I did end up putting a pretty big cooler on the CPU only to get away from the noise the stock cooler was making ( and bigger is typically better when it comes to heat sinks. I didn't go water cooling due to costs and the fact that I really dislike getting into the case for anything these days)

So in the end a pretty happy customer. I got the board on a newegg deal, but I sure paid the discounted price in aggravation of an end of life product.

I really have to stop buying EOL products, but old habits die hard.

Well I have at least 18 months left on this as a mainline system before the next greatest thing is flying by my face

My USB 3.0 died on this board the second day I used it.  I could have RMA'd but I didn't feel like  pulling apart a triple GPU/CPU watercooling loop so just kept it without USB 3.0.

I've heard anecdotes from other people saying this board had flaky USB 3.0.

I don't use my external drive that much that the slower speeds bugged me all that often, and besides that the board has served me.
