Im using a z68 sli micro board and i cannot flash my bios. Every time i start windows just shuts down. Not idea why. Any help?

Let me be a little more specific. Im running windows 8. I download the proper bios. Click on fptwin64.bat. I press "Y" and hit enter. My computer restarts. Nothing happened.

I originally thought it was because im using raid0, but i installed another copy of windows a different ssd and tried. Same thing. I have no idea what to do at this point.

So far, extremely disappointed in this new BIOS. I used to be able to overclock my 2600K to 4.6Ghz rock solid but now with any overclock applied (even if I put VCore and VCCIO higher than they used to be), I get Code 55 POST errors. System says my Corsair Vengeance RAM supports XMP Profile 1, Code 55 when I enable it. If I set it to defaults, it detects it at 1333Mhz, even though it's 1866Mhz. Manually set it 1866Mhz, Code 55. Basically, this BIOS "upgrade" rendered this board useless for overclocking. It appears I'm far from the only person having this issue and there's been silence from EVGA. I'm hoping someone else has figured out a solution. But yeah, this is likely the last EVGA product I'm buying. I like to support more specialised brands but I never had a BIOS upgrade degrade performance on an Asus or Gigabyte board.

If you're having issues flashing be sure to follow this link to install. Works more often than just running the file straight from the folder.

I'm not having issues flashing. The BIOS has been updated for some time. These are problems related to getting the overclock stable after the update.

yo guys if you want to overclock any z68 boards and you are using sandy bridge not ivy bridge use the A05 bios. now this is for sandy bridge if you have ivy download the latest

this is the best for overclocking sandy bridge at normal settings my cpu does not go over 28 C over clocking is easy fallow the p67 over clocking guide. with this bios with air cooling I can get a stable 4.5 ghz   http://www.modsrigs.com/detail.aspx?BuildID=29493   that's my rig as proof xmp profile set at 1.

Question: the R22 BIOS would support 3TB HDD WD WD30EZRX?

I just wish my external WD USB 3.0 HDD enumerated correctly every time I cold boot my computer, it never has but it is closer with the R22 BIOS. It is a USB 3.0 problem on these boards because it enumerates correctly in a USB 2.0 port everytime.
