I had a hard time with flashing the bios but after. reading the instructions it was very simple... flash went excellent. now I am back to 4.0.

Bios updated, redid my clocks and I am stable. Although it keeps checking for a disk before the splash screen. Any way to get it to skip it?

This update has bricked my computer.  I, like others, am able to get in and edit BIOS values, but as soon as I progress beyond the EVGA splash screen I see an "AE" post code and am completely unable to move past it.

I have tried:
- resetting the bios
- unplugging all USB devices except my keyboard
- re-seating my GPU
- booting to a USB stick (with and without SATA drives attached)
- changing from AHCI to IDE SATA modes
- booting from a Win7 Ultimate disc (with and without any other devices connected)

to NO avail.  After each attempt I reset all bios settings to default, reset, and went again.  I have been googling around for an hour now, and I have yet to find a resolution that works.  I am utterly frustrated here.

Were the other users who experienced similar issues with this update able to get their machines working again?

As an update, I have discovered that the AE post code appears whenever ANY USB or SATA device is plugged in anywhere on the board.  Does not matter if the device is bootable or not.  Any device other than the keyboard causes that message to appear.

Can someone send me the link for the A05 bios for the z68 MICRO motherboard? The link on the evga website is broken. I updated to r22 and I'm getting all kind of instability and sleep errors. Thanks.

So I already had a Z68 FTW
Forget about Ivy then?
Because this BIOS looks pretty risky :/

This sucks

here is your link to a05 bios http://forums.evga.com/EVGA-Z68-Motherboards-BIOS-A05-Released-m1252762.aspx  i was told from others if you are using sandy bridge and you are not upgrading then this is the bios for you. now for the micro board the link is not working i would email support so they can upload it to make it work. i had to do that for z 68 sli.

I am only computer literate when I do what the pros suggest.  That being said, I enter the bios through the setup icon.  I'm not offered an option to save defaults. I have the following options:

F2 previous values
F3 optimized defaults
F4 save and exit

So without a load defaults option, I hit optimized and then save and exit.  Your post said the bios should say release 15, but after flashing and restarting my computer, my bios info remains 689 1.05 x64.  CPUID says my bios ver is 4.6.4

Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I also used the usb approach several times, but nothing changed.

I am frustrated but willing to make it work.  just need to know how.

Thank you in advance
