Yeah it is not happening. I guess I'm lucky?

SC version -http://www.evga.com/articles/00678/#2672
FTW version- http://www.evga.com/articles/00678/#2678
The FTW are ACTUALLY 680's with a defective SMX unit, they use the same pcb/heatsink/fan.
The reference/SC use garbage components and are on a much smaller pcb/cheap fan/cheap heatsink. Hence why they reach 80C when OC'ed. The FTW's never surpase 67/68C.

AGAIN ALL 670 gpus are just 680 gpus with a unit disabled. the 670 FTW just uses the reference 680 pcb and cooler. and BS on the 670 FTW not going above 68 C cause they most certainly do even at stock if the fan is left on auto.

Hmmm, i guess im lucky to not even come close to that 70 mark when im OC'ed. I MIGHT get it to 61, and that's it.

My 670SC 4GB doesn't go over 67C overclocked, and that is when I don't run my AC (I do use a custom fan profile), and I wouldn't call them garbage. A lot of people say they are loud too, not the case for me. My 560SC 2GB is way louder. Back on topic though.... anyone else having issues with this new firmware?

61 C? BS. you people either have fan profiles or you are full of crap claiming to never go over 70 C for full load on an oced gtx670.

Mine doesn't stay as low as 61C, but I haven't had it hit 70C yet. My room is usually pretty cool, I try to keep it at or under 23C. What temps does your FTW usually run at?

I never see above 67C on either of my 670 ftw's and I have pretty nasty OC's going on both. My fan curve is default and I just have it on auto. My fans never hit 70% so I never hear them. If your cards are getting hotter than that, your cards are bad or your case cooling solution is terrible.
Here's the official review explaining the many differences between reference 670's/SC 's/ and FTW's cards.  -http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/27432-evga-gtx-670-ftw-reviewed/27432-evga-gtx-670-ftw-reviewed?start=7
"EVGA did a great job taking the GTX 680’s design for its GTX 670 FTW graphics card. The fan is silent in idle mode but even when it’s under full load you won’t hear it until you’re really close to the computer. Bear in mind that the GPU was overclocked from 915MHz to 1006MHz and that the cooler is still silent. In fact, this is the best GTX 670 cooling solution we’ve tested so far."

you have to be freaking kidding me. there was nothing wrong with my card as for as temps go and I have excellent case air flow. all it uses is the reference 680 cooler which most certainly exceeds 70 C in every review out there. did you even look at your own link because even at stock clocks it was hitting 77 C? and the 680 cooler is far from the best cooling solution. wow some of you guys really just see what you want to see I guess...lol.

Not sure what to tell ya my clocks are 1300mhz which is a considered a huge OC. Yet to see above 67C even after 6-8 hours of gaming. What case do you have and what kind of fans are you using? Maybe you need to clean your case?
