I updated both my 670 SC 4GB's to 5C, now I'm getting artifacts occasionally (not colored blocks like I've seen other people have, a weird "grid" over my desktop, hasn't happened since) and my clocks went down from 1137 to 1110. Anyone have any idea what to do? Might go back to 4B.

Two questions...

1) I've used GPUZ to save a copy of the current 4B BIOS. Suppose I wanted to restore that back to the card at some point having after installed a different BIOS. How would I do that?

2) Where can the part number of my card be seen on screen, somewhere in NVP or GPUZ? I have a 670 FTW 2G so it's no mystery to me which .zip to download, but if it was a mystery, where would I look to see 02G-P4-2678-KR?

Thnx

edit: i found nvflash, is that the preferred tool for restoring the backup if needed?

Just logged to say that I'm finally able to cross de 1202+ MHz line. I couldn't even play 3-4 mins of 1202 Mhz without crashing immediately with a driver not responding, even if temps were staying around 70C and even less.

I'm hoping that it will stay this way!

That's great.  Wish I could say the same.  I have 1 card that will OC to 1280 stable while my 2nd card only to 1189.  As soon as I move up to that 1202 mark, crash...  And I've had at least 3 different bios revisions, maybe 4, I lost count.  All with the same result.

I'm completely stable at 1319mhz and 1280mhz on my cards, great bios! Just ran a new 3Dmark11 with new 320.14 Beta driver -http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/6569653

Finally flashed the 5C bios, hoping it resolves an infrequent gpu crash i see when playing fc3. That game has some problems so I can't really tell if its instability in my OC or game bugs (or driver bugs) thats responsible for the crash. I'll change one thing at a time and see if/when it improves. I'll do the new drivers after a watching what happens with the new bios.

I think the new BIOS gave my 670 FTW card a little more mem stability. I can successfully run valley with higher mem clocks than before (not sure how much higher just yet, but def higher). Can't go any higher on core clocks than before. FC3 hasn't yakked since installing it, but not enough time has passed to draw any conclusions on that one. And definitely no ill affects after having flashed it. It's a keeper!

In the example you used, it said bios fw version 80.04.31.00.72. When I updated my 670 and restarted my pc it said the bios fw version listed 80.04.31.00.70. Even though the example ended with "72" and mine ended with "70", does that mean my card still updated??

Same here.
Mine is 80.04.31.00.72.
Should I update my bios or not?

Which firmware update would apply to EVGA GeForce GTX 670 SC 2GB ?
My card is the superclocked version (non FTW). Don't want to brick it using the wrong bios upgrade.

someone has an answer to this question?I'm looking for the same thing!
