5C is newer than 4B. What I don't understand is why the new vBIOS isn't EFI compatible already, make it hybrid so you can run either.

If that's the case, then I'm wondering why version 4b is the latest one showing in the stickies??

That's what I was confused about too. I expected it to be the latest version. Some companies have done odd things when releasing firmware, like my Samsung TV having a new FW but the version number was below what I already had, and Asus releasing a beta driver for my sound card that updates the FW but it is just a bug and the FW is actually identical to what was already on the card. So I just assumed this was new.

The only thing I could think of for not posting the latest FW is that there wasn't much of a change and there is always a risk, even if it is very low, of bricking your device.

because this was for the initial release of the cards BACK in 2012 ,of course bios update as production goes on so common sense would tell you if you bought your card right around then ya maybe you need it,if you bought it after chance are no those cards either have the bios update applied or have newer bios.

Well can the first post be updated and can we have the new 5C firmware please?

Well, common sense tells me that with all the 670 bios updates, and there were many, that the most current would be the ones posted in the sticky. This way there's no confusion. ..

Bios are not done or given out like mobo bios. They are also not only based on performance ,sometimes its simple gpu parts change (memory brand etc) .EVGA does not offer bios for any GPU's unless a issue is known and needs to be fixed.

Furthermore EVGA does not allow Bios to be flashed under warranty UNLESS told to by EVGA support (who notes your account and part told to flash and they send you the bios).

So an EVGA Product Manager posted new BIOS's on the official forum but failed to mention that if you actually use them you will void your warranty? I highly doubt it.
