Love the card, but it still wont let me play bf3 even with the firmware update. Still getting the dx11 bad function call or something error whenever I try to play.

I don't have any problems with gaming. I don't see a need to update the firmware unless something was to make the game not play properly.
If I watercool the videocard I certainly wont have a heat problem.
Any thoughts on my comments?????????????

The firmware update appears to improve efficiency and performance. Why would you NOT want that?

Hello,
Sorry if this has been answered before but is there any firmware update for the 04G-P4-3673-KR GTX 670 FTW+ 4GB?
If yes, where I can get it? All the 670 models firmware updates will be available on this same thread?
Thanks.

The way I see it, there is no need for more performance as all the latest games play at 60 FPS. Skyrim. BF3.
Rage. Metro 2033. All the Mass Effect and fear games.
Efficiency seems perfect. It uses less power than my old cards. And as far as heat goes, most of the games run from 40 to 70 degrees centigrade. It will be even better once I water cool it.

Ok so this is kind of urgent, any help would be appreciated. I was all set to buy the GTX 670 for my xps 8300 before I realised another £70 may be worth the jump to the 680, However; I am unable to find any sort of news of a bios update for the 680 which allows it to work in the 8300, despite the fact that the 670 has been updated and many people inform me that the 670 now works in the xps. Any one seen or able to find a post that confirms a bios update for the 680 which allows it to work in the xps, hopefully with some users confirming compatability? Thanks in advance for any help, I would have assumed the 680 would have also been updated due to the fact that it is almost identical to the now functional 670, but am unable to find anything

does it ultimately solve the RSOD issue under vantage (when card is OC'ed and otherwise stable)?

Not particularly, but the new version improves compatibility with some newer cards, so I would recommend trying it perhaps.

ok, thanks. upgraded my 670 ref last night. will do some Vantage after work and see if it can survive. what makes me wondering is why so far (older firmware) it could pass 3dmark11 without an issue in DX11 mode and at same time it couldn't pass Vantage because of RSOD (DX10 problem?)

just an update. RSOD problem is no more with firmware 4B on my reference 670 2GB. all runs very well, thanks EVGA!
