LMAO!...I've been reading/ listening to this thread the whole time and I can't believe that this thread has gone this far!? I mean I've started it just because I was just sitting here reading (here) on these forums (while listening to music on my headphones) but I had no idea that this thread would go this far? I mean this is awesome!!!!!

I think this is an absolutely great thread. Especially since I get to encounter music I haven't listened to before through others here rather than exploring the radio.

Yeah, it's nice to find music that isn't played every 15 minutes on the radio over and over and over again on every radio station in the country. It makes you wonder if something is really a good song or if it's only a good song because you've heard it so many times during the day that you hear it playing in your head when you're trying to get to sleep at night.

I hardly ever listen to the radio these days, not even in my car. I trust music from people here and my friends more than anything being overly played on the radio. The masses don't have the same general interests that I have in music and I doubt that anyone who would suggest Justin Beeber and/or Miley Cyrus/Lady GaGa has my musical tastes in mind.

I only listen to college radio stations since discovering WPRB and WTSR in NJ back in the 1980's at Princeton and Trenton State Universities respectively. They have enough fresh cutting edge music that cater to my musical tastes. BIRN and Black Squirrel were also good and were available through iTunes. Fresh Air is in Edinburgh and is also very good.
