They calculate computation time.
One core one minute equals one minute of computation time.
8 cores one minute equals 8 minutes of computation time.
That is if you run the cores at 100% throttle.
If you run at 75% throttle, you get 25% less computation time.
So, if my calculations is correct, it will take 24cores at 100% throttle, 29,6 days to earn this badge
