It would be nice if my new build would get some +1's and comments, it took me 4 years to gather and build, due to my low income of being 100% disabled

Why Dual CPU, Core i7's just don't interest me much and for me it's never about need, I don't do such nonsense, it's never about need to me, just pure interest, to the most of it anyway.
Games run great on this setup, as do Flight, Ship & Space Combat simulators, Star Citizen & X-Rebirth will have AMD Mantle Support and multi CPU & core support past the 4 core limitation to which DirectX limits your system to.

With 16 Cores @ 2.6Ghz this system is very well capable of running anything that supports them, Cry Engine 3.5 also supports Mantle API, as which Star Citizen is one of them, the following companies will have their upcoming games with Mantle API:
EA Games
EIDOS
Crytek
RSI aka Roberts Space Industries.

Quite some large companies there, Mantle is going to have a bright future, just like 3dfx Glide API did and since Mantle is so SMP friendly having 16 cores or more is more than welcome.
So far everything I do with it runs very well and dead stable, I won't be doing upgrades for quite sometime now, unless AMD releases their R9 290X x2 hehe, I would not mind adding one of those in here xD

But still I have not given up on EVGA, this system is just something else from my side, the Dual Six-Core AMD OpteronDP 2435 D0 system that has native SLI support, it will be upgraded with two EVGA Geforce GTX 780 SC 3GB's sometime when I can afford them
They will be plenty for it's use, as they are not overpriced, one GTX 780 is slower than the R9 290X, but two of them will be faster, they will form a very nice upgrade for that Dual Opty 2435 and they will be perfect for my CUDA needs in that system as well

Yes but your case is incredible and system too.
Such system don't need to change on every 2-3 years. At least 5-6.
Only graphic cards... I like that Lian-Li. If you install 2xGTX780 with waterblocks that can be one of best rig here.

No GeForce for me with this one, the AMD Radeon R9 290X PCI-E 4096MB 512Bit GDDR5 wins hands down for this one, it's Mantle API gives this system a much greater advantage, and for 483 Euro's you can't get anything better or faster, my budget was 500 Euro's, NV's slower GTX 780 was 70 Euro's more expensive, when I got the R9 290X, in most tests it's faster than the 1029 Euro GTX Titan... heck even if I'd buy two R9 290X's I d have Dual Titan performance even by saving 22 Euro's lol.

And as the GTX 780 Ti Goes that is a wonderful VGA card but in 2-Way SLI it is is most cases slower than 2x R9 290X in CFX, as this test clearly shows:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7492/the-geforce-gtx-780-ti-review/4

Almost in every test the GTX 780 Ti's get beaten, quite amazing for a top end card under the 500 Euro eh?
Here an other good test from a x-3dfx friend of mine named Kyle Bennett:
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2014/01/26/xfx_r9_290x_double_dissipation_edition_crossfire_review

Every test I have read about the R9 290X places it in the better spot than what NVDIIA could offer me and as a neutral VGA card user & Collectorfor my main system I mostly go for the fastest I get can get for my budget and AMD's RV1170 Hawaii XT GPVPU is a simple clear winner for me, something NVIDIA could not apply to.

In the past I worked with the following NVIDIA setups after my 2-Way CFX AMD Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB setup, which didn't give me such a great ride:

Firefox SMP 2006:
Dual Dual Core AMD OpteronDP 285 E6 Italy 4x 2.6Ghz
4x 1GB PC-3200 ECC Reg Kingston Value Ram
ASUS K8N-DL , NVIDIA NForce 2200 Pro , former NForce4 Pro
XFX Pine Group GeForce 9800 GX2 XXX Edition PCI-E 1024MB 512Bit GDDR3
2x G92-450-A2 2x 128 G92 CUDA Cores, 2x 512MB 256Bit GDDR3

Not pics of this config but I do have one when I ran a XFX Pine Group ATi Radeon HD 4870 XXX Edition PCI-E 1024MB 256Bit GDDR5

But this 9800 GX2 was also used in this setup before the GTX 295 RE's came:
Blue-Leader SMP 2009:
Dual Quad Core AMD OpteronDP 2380 C2 Shanghai, 8x 2.5Ghz
4x 4GB PC2-6400 ECC Reg Kingston Value Ram
Supermicro H8DAE-2, NVIDIA NForce 3600 pro, MCP 55 Pro & IO55
XFX Pine Group GeForce 9800 GX2 XXX Edition PCI-E 1024MB 512Bit GDDR3
2x G92-450-A2 2x 128 G92 CUDA Cores, 2x 512MB 256Bit GDDR3

This ran lots faster than with the Dual Opty 285 E6 hehe! New adventures were to be expected!

Great build and much faster than the HD 2900 XT CFX setup, drivers were great and never had an issue with this one :)
After this I went for this setup:

Blue-Leader SMP 2009:
Dual Quad Core AMD OpteronDP 2380 C2 Shanghai, 8x 2.5Ghz
4x 4GB PC2-6400 ECC Reg Kingston Value Ram
Supermicro H8DAE-2, NVIDIA NForce 3600 pro, MCP 55 Pro & IO55
2x EVGA GeForce GTX 295 Red Edition PCI-E 1792MB 896Bit GDDR3 in Quad SLI
4x G200-400-B3, 4x 240 G200 CUDA Cores, 4x 896MB 448Bit GDDR3

This was a brilliant build and I still use it today, it also had many VGA card upgrades:

Blue-Leader SMP 2009:
Dual Quad Core AMD OpteronDP 2380 C2 Shanghai, 8x 2.5Ghz
4x 4GB PC2-6400 ECC Reg Kingston Value Ram
Supermicro H8DAE-2, NVIDIA NForce 3600 pro, MCP 55 Pro & IO55
1x Zotac GeForce GTX 480 PCI-E 1536MB 384Bit GDDR5
in 2-Way SLi with:
1x EVGA GTX GeForce GTX 480 PCI-E 1536MB 384Bit GDDR5
2x GF100-375-A3, 2x 480 Fermi CUDA Cores, 2x 1536MB 384Bit GDDR5

A major difference compared to the GTX 295 RE's wow, 640MB VRAm per GPGPU more and lovely DX11 support yaay, a great upgrade! xD

Blue-Leader SMP 2009:
Dual Quad Core AMD OpteronDP 2380 C2 Shanghai, 8x 2.5Ghz
4x 4GB PC2-6400 ECC Reg Kingston Value Ram
Supermicro H8DAE-2, NVIDIA NForce 3600 pro, MCP 55 Pro & IO55
2x EVGA GeForce GTX 580 SuperClocked Edition PCI-E 1536MB 384Bit GDDR5 in 2-Way SLI
2x GF110-375-A1, 2x 512 Fermi CUDA Cores, 2x 1536MB 384Bit GDDR5

This was lots better, more silent and still a good 30% faster compared with the GTX 480 SLI setup, also surprised me that this setup still had enough potential to run two of these, it seemed more could be expected from it!

Then I went for the new Kepler Architecture:

Blue-Leader SMP 2009:
Dual Quad Core AMD OpteronDP 2380 C2 Shanghai, 8x 2.5Ghz
4x 4GB PC2-6400 ECC Reg Kingston Value Ram
Supermicro H8DAE-2, NVIDIA NForce 3600 pro, MCP 55 Pro & IO55
2x EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SUperClocked Signature Edition PCI-E 2048MB 256Bit GDDR5's in 2-Way SLI
2x GK104-400-A2, 2x 1536 Kepler CUDA Cores, 2x 2048MB 256Bit GDDR5

This was amazing and ran soooo nice, I would even consider two EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ Editions over two GTX 780's, just the good good experience this setup gave me, although I dunno if 2x EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB's would be better over two EVGA GTX 780 SC 3GB's? the More VRAm okay, but yer I dunno yet, it all depends on pricing, anyways I head to let go of my GK104-400-A2's sadly for funding for the Dual G34 setup. Sometimes Sacrifices need to be made to venture forward they say, thus the case.

Anyways the Dual 8 Core AMD OpteronMP 6140 D0 has a R9 290X and so far every choice I made as high end VGA cards went was always a good one, so this one is an other choice I can't doubt.
But yeah, even two EVGA GTX 580 3GB's would be nice in the Dual 2435, that too was a wonderful setup, I even still have two VGA GTX 580 Backplates,in my drawer, which I found after cleaning up my room some 4 weeks ago rofl! New and unused

But yer I'll see what I'll do with the Dual 2435, Dual GTX 580 3GB's or GTX 680 4GB's something in that kind of style, unless I can get me a good deal on two EVGA GTX 780 3GB's yer I'll see, no rush with that one
Anyways I don't want to annoy people that I have gone Radeon R9 290X, I always have made good choices and this Radeon R9 290X is my best choice made to date, as all them other setups were glorious, so is the new one I made which now has this setup:

Dual 8-Core AMD OpteronMP 6140 D0 Mangy Cours, 16x 2.6Ghz
Supermicro H8DG6-F, AMD G34, Dual AMD SR5690 North Bridges 1x AMD SP5100 South Bridge
2x 4GB PC3-12800 ECC Reg HP/Hynix
2x 4GB PC3-12800 ECC Reg HP/Samsung
Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 290X PCI-E 4096MB 512Bit GDDR5
1x RV1170 Hawaii XT, 1x 2816 ALU's, 1x 4096MB 512Bit GDDR5

All in all I am very satisfied of all the wonderful setups I have had with Enthusiast class VGA cards in combination with High class Dual CPU Server/Workstation hardware and I would probably stick to my style, every one has their style, and that should be respected form all views
