longest you waited for a step up?

Curious to see what's the longest people have waited for a stepup esp on a new gpu,i'm waiting for the 1080 step up like everyone else and thinking about just buying one when in stock , i also put in my request i believe the 27th or so,or is it just worth the wait?

    Well, I put in my request on release day of the 1080, granted it was toward the end of the day, but it was still release day.  Still waiting for step 2.  But I don't mind waiting a bit.  Also I heard there were some sort of delay to the 1080 production.  Not sure exactly what happened, but its a new product, so is understandable.

    yeah so iv'e heard just hoping this is not some 2-3 month wait....might just sell my 980 to my friend and buy one if i see one in stock.......

    Why would you do that? If you really can't wait buy one and then when you get your step up sell your step up card. Lol

    For my 1080 FE:  
    I initiated my step-up on June 7th.
    Received step 5 approval on June 21st.
    Shipped my 980ti back on June 23rd and it was received June 28th.
    New card shipped out June 29th and will be delivered on July 5.
     
    So roughly 1 month for the entire process to complete using UPS ground shipping both ways.

    I want to say 6-8 weeks in queue for my 780 upgrade. Once they received the part it was quick, 1-2 days to process. Shipping speed both ways is up to you of course.

    Started mine on June 10 for the 1080 ACX now the SC model (thanks EVGA!). Still at step one. I'm new to this program, so I was not aware of tracking your queue number before they patched the sites. But I did find a 1080FE on nvidia website, sorry evga. But of course I didn't know about the step up til after I ordered. Actually had my 980ti listed on ebay and was about to accept an offer when I stumbled across the step up forum here that lead me to stepping up mine. No rush on my end, I'll just enjoy my FE until I receive the SC :)
