I like to be on my computer when i'm not in my living room. problem is, my computer is in a finished attic. I have an A/C in the window, but its a small window, so the only thing i could fit and reasonably afford was a 6000 btu unit. the attic is 15x20 so its got a decent square footage to cool. After the sun goes down, it cools off pretty fast, but during the heat of the day, the A/C has to fight the convection of the house. it can get pretty toasty up here, and the A/C struggles to keep the room comfortable. So i just built a blanket fort.

Since my desk, which has my tower on it, is so close to the A/C, i don't worry about temps in the case, i'm just more worried about me sweating so much i fuse myself to my chair.. So far so good, had it built for about 30 minutes now, and it is a considerable difference in temperatures between inside and outside my fort.

I don't own this place, i rent it, so i'm not doing any renovations as in adding insulation, or whatever. When i was deciding to move, the attic made the best choice for my computer because its a decent size. That, and I like to listen to music at elevated volumes at times, and my logitech x 530 speakers have a sub, which isn't the loudest, but can create a decent decibel. So i figure I would put as much distance as possible between myself and the first floor neighbor. I don't listen to it obnoxiously loud, but i don't want to offend the little black lady of faith that lives on the first floor. She might  think i worship the devil if she hears my music

Just keep an eye out for condensation forming on or in the computer.
Most likely you will be ok. Try not to have it blow directly on the case.
I had my computer room in a finished attic years ago, heat was an issue for sure.
Then I moved it to the basement, then when two of my kids moved out I took over one of the bedrooms.
But now it seems like every room in my house is a computer room.
Folding and BIONC makes people do crazy things!!

thank you for the tip! i know that was one thing i was worried about, but now that its cooling down everything inside the fort a little more evenly, i won't have to worry about it so much.

If I'm understanding this right, you're trying to fight the heat blasting from your computer. Yeah, that's every PC gamer's biggest nightmare. Even if you have the coolest temp case, heat still comes out, but will take "longer" for the room to get hotter. There is no escaping the heat, it will always be there. What you're doing may be better. I have done plenty of tests with, turning the AC on and letting that sucker run and run till the room was cold. It never fails, and the room just gets warmer and warmer by the hour.

you could take a chamber like, which exhausts all the heat from your case down a pipe into an AC to help keep the room colder.

No it's not the heat from the pc I'm worried about, it's the heat that is due to convection of the house. Hot air rises, so the attic naturally gets hot
