I guess it depends on the charge for the step up vs selling them then just buying

The *charge* is pay for the difference between the two products, plus return shipping and applicable taxes, after you have been approved.
So you get full retail credit for the GPU you are stepping up minus the price difference....

That's probably more than you would get trying to sell it. You could use the other 980Ti as a dedicated PhysX GPU.

That is assuming that the new card will be around the same price you paid for the 980TI. Since there is no set price for the GTX 1080 card then it could be a different price.

ya. it was $679 so... I guess ill find out soon enough

Considering cards don't even go on sale until 9am EST it won't be up before then and EVGA has already said they aren't sure if it will be available tomorrow or not.

I did some research and I continue looking into the 1080 as I'm not really impressed and it has me thinking...I will wait to see EVGA's SC or FTW version of the 1080 or an 1080Ti and go from there. I do have 70 days left and if nothing happens by then I guess I'll be selling my (2) 980Ti when EVGA's version comes out.

I just saw this!!!

Not this time around, unless it's for an EVGA's GTX 1080 ACX 3.0 SC, FTW or Classified version.
