I'm somewhat concerned about temps on my aircooled x58. Anyone see anything that might help? My CPU runs in the high 70's, but the core's run in the mid 80's under load.  I admit I don't know much about overclocking. I followed this article "http://www.guru3d.com/article/evga-x58-sli-review/9" and it seemed to work.  I appreciate your assistance.

(I did read some articles, but it really hasn't sunk in yet.)

What kind of CPU cooler are you using?

I think your methodology is sound.  I prefer multiplier overclocking myself with the unlocked multiplier of the chip (instead of using base clock overclocking) since this lets you keep the uncore frequency low and keep uncore voltage low.  That being said, why is your QPI PLL Vcore so high?  You probably don't need that much QPI PLL Vcore or that much CPU VTT since you aren't raising the base clock.  Lowering those two items should lower the heat output of the CPU.

EDIT:  I see in your BIOS that your base clock (bclock reference frequency) is 133 Mhz, but Eleet says it is 145.  I recommend that you leave the base clock at 133MHz so that you can keep the uncore speed lower and thus achieve what I just typed above.  Overclocking with multiplier seems to keep the temperature lower on these unlocked extreme chips until around 31x multiplier.

I see now that your QPI PLL Vcore and CPU VTT seemed so high because you were raising the base clock up from 133MHz to 145MHz.  Don't do that; then you can leave CPU VTT and CPU QPI Vcore lower and thus make less heat.
