What are you going to be doing with it?
I personally would get the i7 because the work I do is sped up dramatically by the extra 4 threads over the i5 (video encoding, Very hi-res image rendering, and boinc projects).
if your just gaming the i5 is more than enough.

I like to future proof my PC so I went with the 4790K.  I like having the HT and the additional cache.

gaming mainly, also if a CPU can keep up I don't like ocing them anymore, just the K's tend to run cooler than the non K's lol

I have the 4790k running in turbo mode at 4.4ghz.  Stock volts, and low 30's C temps.  I'm perfectly happy to leave it running there.

its more to do with I don't overclock anymore unless the computer needs it to preform, my FX 6350 was only OC'd for benchmark runs rest of the time i ran it stock

alright ill go with an i5 and for cooler im gonna grab a Coolermaster Hyper 212+ Evo unless there is a better one in the same price bracket?

Other than that I'm planning to buy another case, as my Enermax Ostrog isn't quite what I wanted for good air cooling lol. I'm looking into trying to find a Switch 810 again but If i can't what do yall recomend between 100-170 for a good case with good airflow, prefer 140mm so I can have good CFM with low DBA vs 120mm fans

My friend got this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147053
He says it's pretty nice, has tons of airflow and very quiet (3x 230mm and 1x 140mm fans).

well why i like it, I'm not a big fan of mesh, should have said that, I want no mesh lol. Its the big reason i liked the switch, it was clean lines, and the mesh it had was minimalist. I want clean lines, a window, and vents for fans to be more out of sight than on the current mesh heavy trend

Ok then, can't go wrong with the DEFINE R4: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352021
Sleek and quiet. Only comes with 2 140mm fans though.

Btw newegg has the switch 810 in stock, only in white though (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146088).

If you do get the switch 810 I would recommend adding another intake fan to the top becaue that front plate will impair your airflow.

This is what I would go for and it's not overclocked.
