for what reasons would this hybrid kit  not work on a 900 series   seeing they pulled the hybrid kits for the 900 series ??    the shroud seems the only thing I could guess the rest looks the same  ??

There is one availlable for the 980 ti at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Hybrid-GeForce-Cooling-400-HY-0996-B1/dp/B00ZQ4PFX2
The only visible difference is the shroud.

I was not looking to buy   but   I did feel its a shame evga just  dropped near everything under the 10 series   as for as parts   ?     looks like now folks with a 900 card is left holding the bag

or guys with a 900 hybrid card needs a new pump set up out of warrantee   looks like there now S.O.L   to get a replacement   this is why I asked  if the only difference was just the offered shroud ??

I go evga for there known service and support but it seems today there no better then any other brand   when it comes down to it ???   I filled out a service ticket like 3 weeks ago and no reply yet today    so heres parts to add to a card that's now gone  if needed up just as upgrade   maybe the MSI seahawk was the better deal in the end  ??   theres nothing wrong with the evga card I got but I see  there aftermarket or factory accessories  like a hybrid cooler for one or just if needed to replace the factoiry cooler  if going bad or what ever reason ??

if its like that 10 series hybrid cooler  the only thing is the shroud  they should foot note that    in the end a guy could dremel  / rat tail file out the hose holes in a non hybrid  blower shroud if necessary and still be good  if the pump part was all the same .

ok i'll call it good  and out    if not then I wonder how the would do rma of the pumps  if there none to be offered ??  cause If I wanted a 10 series  I would not got a 900

If you are concerned that EVGA won't have the stock to replace an under-warranty 980Ti Hybrid, then you should be at ease. They keep extra parts that are no longer being sold as part of their warranty replacement inventory.

For example, I had to RMA my X79 Dark motherboard late last year (LONG after they stopped selling them)THREE times and I got a brand new board each time - each board was still in the original, shrink-wrapped box.

My X58 Classy died last year. Purchased in 2010. They had a Classy 3 as a RMA replacement so I gained USB3.0 and SATA 3 (even though USB3.0 doesn't work when OC'd and the speeds on that crap Marvell controller are worse than SATA 2 in RAID 0, I digress). I wouldn't worry about it. Worse case scenario, you get an upgrade.

It is odd to drop a product so soon after the release of the next gen video board. There are still plenty of 980 and 980 ti boards going strong and their owners should at least have some kind of compatibilty chart in case they are willing to mod their own shroud.

bottom line was I just wanted to know why the hybrid kit sold now is just for 10 series    like I look it over  and did not see why it should still not fit a 900 card as before   I figured it matbe the included shroud  and factory oem paste on the face  ?????    if it will  then evga should foot note that   as all will work but shroud may be different for 900 cards ...

Only EVGA support can answer this to be sure that there is no difference in the mounting hole spacing or depth of the heatsink's contact pad. I know EKWB makes some universal GPU blocks based on their Supremacy EVO design. A footnote on the website has a compatibility chart about which adapter may or may not be needed for different GPU heatsink mounting hole spacing. Of course this is not an AIO option and would require a custom cooling loop.

''Only EVGA support can answer this''     I I notice there real ''selective '' on what threads they answer    most time on things as this they don't     its not like a guy asks them to give up a trade secret  but then I guess there liability  could be at stake

then don't need to go through this  [great support]

The only thing one might run into using the 1080/1070 kit on a 900 series card is the underlying cooler plate is not the same on the different generations.
The angles on the 10x0 cards are different than the 9x0 cards.

    Hi Doc,

I buy stuff from EVGA since over fifteen years now... I have made a couple of times good and bad experiences with the support, but all in all they take care... give them a call, I'm sure they will help... and besides, my new 980 Ti has coil-whine + the package and content looks like football.

    Regards,
    - C.

We don't typically test cross-compatibility of parts for one generation of cards to another. I did a quick Google search though, and was able to find this user on the GeForce forums who successfully mounted a 980Ti cooler to his 1080: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/939231/geforce-1000-series/watercooled-my-gtx-1080-for-60/ . The 980/980Ti/Titan X reference PCBs are physically identical and can interchange coolers, so it looks like you can use a Hybrid pump from any of these on a 1080 or 1070. This is, of course, done at your own risk and your mileage may vary.

Dr.Death, if you have an automated reply please forward it to me a jwilda@evga.com so I can take a look and see why we don't have a record of your contact with us. Perhaps you used an email that differs from what is on your EVGA account? If there's a problem with our ticket system we need to know so we can resolve it, but I assure you we are not ignoring you.

Re: hybrid cooler kit 2016/07/28 08:44:14 (permalink)
well now you see on of your guys tried to help me out and  his tips screwed up my e mail account to the point I could not recover it  and had to start a new account   so all that [everything ] was lost
over that   his help did more harm then good  , but that's life   he tried [its some ware in the software forum on that deal   on why I'm not able to download any evga software   so his resolves pretty much screwed me  there
like way I had to register my card 3 times   cause the robo e-mail says it was  but when I try to get evga software   I got 'you must have a registered evga product to use this site thing

its pretty much water under the bridge  but  I did not expect this much hassle  by any means  . lots of suppresses  this go round    also I never said this was from my account  could be my wifes or sons   when  you checked   on that

my card work as expected   I'm so far so good there its just   trying to get the  ''extras''  or services maybe a back up part like the hybrid cooler to keep   on the back burner is where I falling short  in all this

just to add   on the software  like precision x   today I see that a new mirror  is added   and  all now seems to be able to down load with out the prior issus I was having    [NICE JOB AND THANKS ]

but I still get the   '' Authenticate at remote partner site failed! SessionID ''  spiel  with mirror 1    the new mirror 2 is working as expected and well   on that  so something was resolved or fixed  by adding mirror 2

so my out look here at evga is brighter   and satisfaction higher     so thanks

so as far as the replacement hybrid cooler goes I'm not one for doing rma's   so for me just to be able to direct buy a kit for my hybrid card was a big plus now seemingly now  gone  and like another poster here  asking wheres the led shrouds at noe for the 900 card  gone as well I guess ???   so see how we maybe feeling left holding the bag  some what ??

thanks for your time here  I hate to come off as a stick in the mud , but sometimes I feel I have to
