I dont know much about chairs @ staples but i would say dont take anyone's word for it. Every back is different and people have different comfort levels.
 
What i would suggest to you is go there and sit in every single chair they have and see which one fits you best.
 
Since  i spend most my time in front of my computer i decided to buy a really nice chair for myself about 4 + years ago. I walked into a Furniture store called Plummers ( dono if you have them on the east coast) with my girlfriend and we agreed that i would sit in every single computer chair they had there and make my decision based on that without even looking at price because after all it is for my back and comfort!
 
So after about 20 minutes of trying out the chair and some 40 chairs later I sat in this one chair and felt like i was in heaven! It was so comfortable and relaxing i couldn't believe how i was sitting on the chair before it.
 
I asked my Girlfriend to come to me and sit on it and she also agreed and said all the other chairs were nothing compared to it!
 
Then came the time to look at the price :P.  $850.... LOL
 
So i told her we agreed to buy the chair we sat and liked before looking at price and that was the one. Was it worth $800? Hell YES!
 
It is still in very good condition and almost as comfortable as it was from day one. Anyone who has sat in it ( including friends and family) also agreed that it was the most comfortable chair they have ever sat in.
 
Again, This is for your back an comfort and if you spend a lot of time in the chair get what is best for you!
 
Comfort comes first! You can replace a chair but cant replace a back!

it's a shame i live in whats called 20 miles of furniture,with furniture stores every were i even have a amish furniture store in front of were i live but have'nt seen any nice computer chairs,
they mostly all cater to the rich,but i do spend a great amount of time in front of my computer,and set no were else in the house,

skys the limit when shopping for chairs. You can find a decent one for $50, but most store push their uber chairs at over $250. Really need to know your budget and what you are willing to do. We can find you a $850 chair that will hold drinks, remotes, keyboards, mouse, has a fridge in it, gives shiatsu massage, and even supports your restroom needs. Do you want leather, or is pleather good enough? Are you willing to add cushioning, or do you need it to come plush to start?

well staples is sending me 250$ gift card i figure i could put 200$ more should be able to get pretty good one for 450$ if they have one in stock that is

That is the exact reason to not go cheap and not listen to anyone =)!
 
#1 pull a budget out for yourself
#2 go to the furniture store and plop your arse on every seat there and find the ones you liked the most and see what is within your budget.
 
I used to get tired sometimes with my old chair or uncomfortable :P. With the chair i have i could sit in it for a day and not get a aching back or soar buttocks like other chairs!
 
Your know what your back and buttocks like so do them proud =0).!!!!

I say take her with you :P. Let her sit in every chair with you so she can see the difference. My girlfriend expected me to spend  $200-300 as i did but that chair was the deal breaker :P. Maybe if you two can come to a middle ground on what is a fair price you can take her there with you and squeeze out a few extra bucks IFFFF you find something you really like and want to pay for =0). You will never know until you go out and see what they have to offer :P!

Grab a bunch of crates. :D

I just bought a Draycott Highback Bonded leather chair from Office Depot (on sale for $149.00) and love it. It's the only one I've found that actually supports my back in a halfway decent manner. If money is no object I'd go for a Hermann Miller Aeron or if you have a gold bar laying about a Humanscale Liberty would be awesome!  I kid you not about the gold bar part either. The Liberty starts at $688.00 and can be optioned all the way to $2200.00

Look in furniture stores as well as stores like Walmart. You might find a great chair in a furniture store, but if you look in stores like Walmart, you might find the same chair for a much lower price, so keep your mind open to looking in a few different stores. Sit down and try out the chair before you buy it. If you don't feel comfortable in the chair for a few minutes while trying it out, you can guarantee that it isn't going to be a good chair for your computer, especially for those times when you are going to need to sit at the computer for a few hours to do a project for work or school. Try to get a chair that not only makes you feel comfortable, but which also promotes good posture. You don't want a computer chair that puts you to sleep! Having a chair that keeps your back in proper alignment avoids the problem of falling asleep as well as helps keep your back from aching later. Make sure the chair is comfortable in the legs. If your chair is making your feet dangle like a little kid's legs, you should find something where you can easily reach the ground. The same is true in the opposite. i went with this one was the best i could find at this staples,very sturdy good lumbar support,dought this will break to easy,i got the 3year warranty with this also,was very impressed with Staples they ask no questions sent me full amount of broke chair,so i spent 40$ more and got better  chair can probally do again in 2 years,
