hello guys i am new to this forum so first i want to say hello to everyone!
My question is I currently am running an EVGA GTX570 card on my system. While I have really had no issues with the card and I love what it has done for me, I am now considering upgrading my graphics card to the GTX 1060. I just want to make sure my system can handle the upgrade.
Here are my system specs
Asus P9x79 Pro motherboard (UEFI compliant)
Intel i7 4th gen processor (not sure the exact chipset)
corsair watercooled fan
Samsung 850 pro ssd
64gb corsair memory (8x8gb sticks)
EVGA GTX570 graphics caerd (what i am looking to upgrade)
corsair 800w power supply
the tower is a full size maybe larger (i know it is larger then the standard ATX case)
The computer itself is a work computer only so I do no gaming on the computer.
I only use it to run protools adobe premiere pro adobe after effets adobe photoshop illustrator
and the computer is never connected to the internet.
The only reason I am looking to upgrade the graphics card is because I am rendering more 4k video and I have noticed it takes a lot more time for video streams to load and pre render and post render.
I am hoping that upgrading to the gtc1060 speeds things up somewhat.
Please let me know if my system can support the 1060 or if I need to be looking to upgrade other components.
Thanks in advance guy!
