gpu fans not turning on.....precision x?

just installed windows 10 x64pro on a new machine.  installed all the drivers blah blah
installed precision x16 and it says no hardware supported.  ive already installed the drivers for my 980 ti sc.  why doesn't precision x know i have an evga card? need to turn these fans on...

    Check device manger to see if recognized and what driver is installed. You may need to uninstall the existing driver with some form of driver cleaner. Then reinstall the latest driver from EVGA or Nvidia and also remove PrecisionX and reinstall. I haven't had this issue but have seen others having problems with latest Precision X. You might need to load the previous version of PrecisionX. Also after installing try shutting power down, turn off power supply and press start button to discharge any power leftover in capacitors. Then turn PSU on and restart and see if everything took. I have used this fix a few times installing new gear in my 5960 build. Good luck.

    dvcmgr says it's working properly.  driver 10.18.13.5362
     
    precision x16 is bad? i miss the old precision x......

    as posted above, others are having same issues, they are working on it

    I only see the option to download x16.  The rest is just the updates to precision X.  Am I blind?

    Clicking the version for me just opens up the window and shows what that version now does.  No download option or link

    wow, the heatsink is hot but the gpu was only at 40 degrees with the fans off......

    some have a mirror site for d/l but they are all 16, 
    will see if I can find an older for you, not sure if it will work with Win10 thou
    but if you still have problem p.m. me and I can send it to you

    Try setting up a custom fan curve, to get them to start at 35c to 30%, 80c to 100%, with 2 fan control points, you can delete the other points with by highlight/choose them and click delete key,
     
    had a small problem here thou with 10
     
    We only have 10 on one pc here so far, so we are using Afterburner 4.1 on it and it is working great so far, fans are kicking up when needed

    i installed 10 pro same problem,
    for me un installing precission and the gpu driver.
    then installed nvidia driver 353.30 and then precision got my fan in the gpu to work.
    tried multi other options,but this way is the only one that worked for me.
    could be a conflict between nividia drivers after 353.30 and precision in windows 10.
