Tried it but no difference for me. Although I did not have any issues with the game before so that could be a reason why, lol. Only issue I really have is that the granade launcher doesnt register all the time, but oh well, time to stab them with the knife. So as far as it is cheating...... lol, no no its not. Like I said, it did nothing for me, its all about ping and latency. If the game makers wont fix what should be, then we will. Cheating would be up,up,down, down, left, right, left, right, A,B,A,B,select, start, or "show me the money", lol. My console gamer friends would consider this cheating probably, but then again they would consider my 5900 dpi mouse to be cheating also right?

As far as I am concerned, that is something broken in this game. I pretty much have higher ping no matter what game I play or what server I play on, but I am not having this kind of problem with other on-line games I play. So I would be all fore disabling it to make the playing field level, or fixing it so that it is. Practically speaking, I don't see this as cheating. making a small adjustment so that your crosshair lines up with the object your shooting at, come on! aimbot, increasing weapons damage, removing weapon kickback and increasing accuracy....yes that's cheating. I would like to point my shot gun at a players head from two feet away in this game and know he is going to dye when I pull the trigger instead of wondering and I'm all for every player having the same advantage. Hardware has nothing to do with this but, the internet does.

Agreed Mr Beans. The game has a few issues, so what. All games do, thats because of the connections and configs of the players and the servers and connections of the hosts. But this "Mod" is a flat out cheat. As if the game coding was not predictive enough, these losers are inserting a line of code that "pushes" their client hit detection on the server poll. And lets be clear, its not a "setting" or an "option". Its adding a line of dev code to the game that nobody who does not know about it has access to. Lets also be clear, many players do not "ping" the server like they feel they should, nor does the in game "server poll latency" make alot of people happy... But the idiots posting this hack fail to understand the truth about BFBC2, that over 50% playing are barely able to run it and most peoples connections are under spec for the bandwith used in this game. Their answer to "I hit him dead on and he didnt die" is to mod their client file, instead of wondering what connection or fps the guy they shot at had, or how well their own connection or rig was running at that moment. Aside from the fact that the insertion of lines of code is cheating. I would like to know what would keep anyone from inserting false or fake latency numbers into the line of code? And what effect that would have on the hosting server or on other players own latency to the hosting server during the poll.... A cheat or hack is just that... its unfair to other players. As we have seen in some of the posts in this thread, honesty and fairness are not of any concern to some players. Nor is respect to someone who has an honest and factual opinion. I run a stock game install with the given in-game adjustments and nothing more, always have and always will. Respect from other players is earned, not modded with extra lines of code in public multiplayer. A few in this thread have shown their lack of sportsmanship, respect and honesty. To them I say, for what? Its just a video game your supposed to have fun playing. Its types like these that ruin that fun for everyone.

To them I say, for what? Its just a video game your supposed to have fun playing. Its types like these that ruin that fun for everyone. I think the point is that this game issue is not the same as "all games". This game is way more inconsistent for me, and I know for myself that hardware and bandwidth are not the reason why. I really don't know much about this in game latency stuff accept that apparently it's more of an advantage for some then others in this game. If it's supposed to give players living farther from the server a better connection, I can tell you that it is really inconsistent, way more negative then average, because I am that person 100% of the time. Technically, maybe you are right. Sensibly, it's questionable. I just wish the game behaved the same as the other BF games for me. I do appreciate your enthusiasm regarding cheating by the way, but one thing you are not going to convince me of with this game is a level playing field. If we all were playing on a lan you would convince me.

But how sad that the Fourm Mod here at EVGA cannot be bothered to remove a post that is so clearly about cheating, -and- overlook the personal attacks of others in this thread. I see my name, profile and previous posts listed... I guess that speaks for itself Oh well, the gaming world is full of those who are "less". Just makes being a gamer with "more" that much better.

Cheating is also subjective (based upon ones opinion). Like I said in your PM, I understand your frustrations but you can convey that here differently. Your comments will provoke a negative response from the members. I will go back and look at the other posts to see where you have been called names and issue warnings. EDIT: I don't see evidence to suggest this.

If it was a cheat, they could easily have PB scan the variables and ban anyone for out of range variables. If you don't get the ban then it's fair game. Not only is the game about the ability to point and click, it's about knowledge. I'm going to have to try this out due to curiosity of how the function works.
So much work to do... someone has to do it.

If you can argue a case for this, perhaps you can sway opinion.....I think that's the best way to come to a resolution. Often times, I debate a point with literature or consensus of opinion based upon relevant facts. Have a good night gentlemen. Somehow, the force woke me up and I got on the forums.

Actually, out of range variables usually get you a kick from PB so you can put them in range before rejoining the game.

Some players would take advantage of exploits in 2142, which would leave it to admins to kick. I personally never did this, and don't laugh because I didn't It just isn't cool IMO.

Exploits are what they are. They can only be delt with by a game update and policed by server admins.

Here's a "morality check" for you. If I put a dot in the middle of my screen so that I know where the center is when the game doesn't give me cross hairs to tell me where the center is, is it cheating or thinking outside the box? Changing variables is what I was referring to as fair game.

Gamers have been doing this since Quake 2 days. It's called tweaking a config to get better hit registry. If its anything like cl_interpolate 0 was in CS:Source i could see developer hard coding it or leagues kicking players for it. I haven't tested this yet, not sure if i need to adjust it. Afterburner not allowed to see the picture above.

I also don't think that PB should be the be all and end all. PB can be 'helped' not to see things. A really brilliant piece of security software was used for this many years ago. PB ended up kicking anyone with it installed. A milder version of it is now included in most Anti-Virus/ Security suites these days and unfortunately the developer has let the software slide for the past few years.

What an amazing find. Ill have to try this when I get home. And for the record tweaking your config files is not cheating. I can say this confidently because even in league play you are allowed to tweak your config files to get the most from your system, have certain binds etc.. Cheating or "hacking" is generally reserved for instances when a player uses an outside program to manipulate the game in some form or another. But using commands that are already part of the game and adjusting them to fit your needs is perfectly legal, especially when it comes to hit detection.

#10 overall in TFD, #5 all time in zone in TFD, if u add zone time for all 3 GOA'S players I'd be #1, 3 GOA'S in TFD. All I played in TFD was Deathmatch and King Of The Hill. maniacvvv What is being discussed in this thread is Cheating Sugarcoat however you wish, it does not change the facts. If I play against you in the server with my client files intact, YOU will have an unfair advantage with your modded files. That is cheating Of course, I will HAVE to Mod my files also... so that the playing field is level? We have seen where this leads to in "other" games... a total hackfest, where the guy with the most client mod wins and any player running stock (Honest, without mods) does not have a chance. I enjoy playing BFBC2, if this kind of crap is going to be allowed I wont be playing much longer. You want better hit detection.. EARN it with experiance You want better server polling, PAY FOR IT with a better connection Modding your client files will not make you a better player, it only pad your stats... By cheating Uninstall seriously. Go back to BF Heroes...

belatu What an amazing find. Your arrogance and ignorance are appalling for a gaming Admin. Seriously you need a refresher on gaming ethics and what honest and fair play means. Please feel free to try your config mods next time you play in a LAN tourney, and enjoy your instant ban. EVGA clan gaming is beyond bad, its dirty. No respect given, no respect shown

Nob. I wouldnt have BF heros, Steam or X-fire on my system even if you paid me... I am an honest player who runs a clean system and connection. No filters or background P2P needed to enhance my kill ratio.
