It is etched on your CPU integrated heatsink. You would have to take your cooler out. Not worth the trouble...

Jlee you need to update your Linpack binaries. Look at the first post. Your max gflops is too low.

New sig badges are here!!! Man EVIILJ did a nice one. Not only do I have the option to add your clock speed, I can now use a badge that has the standard i7 logo or the i7 Extreme logo depending on which type of cpu you have. I'll have these sent out to each member shortly. Many many thanks to Drerex and EVIIILJ on this.

It's so easy to get the LinX PS off. When I start LinX too soon after my boot, or when my AV is on, my mem is short so LinX quietly curtails my PS. If I don't notice, I get a slightly smaller PS, and it keeps the same the next time I open it (if no crash). I have been having to watch it closely, and before I removed half of my RAM I never had that prob, so I'm not used to watching it. PITA it was (at first).

Jlee, your Gflops are still too low. You should be in the 80s. Are you sure you updated your binaries? With your temps I doubt that you will be able to achieve the same OC with the new binaries.

I downloaded from the link on the first post before i ran it again. I will mess with it again tomorrow. Freeing up enough ram to run the 25000 was a PITA. I'm not to suprised by the temps. I had to crank up the vcore after 4.3ghz. I was trying to take advantage of the cooler weather here. I had my room down to about 60 w/o having to run the ac. Tomorrow i might take the fans and radiator of my h-50 out and position them to pull in cool air from my windows.

jlee, messing around with CPU PLL and QPI PLL can tune your Gflops. And sometimes when you raise QPI PLL you can lower VTT to hold your temps steady, achieving a better Gflop. In my case QPI between default 1.1 and 1.3V, and CPU PLL between default 1.8 and 2.0V; changing in 0.1V steps.
