I am running the latest nvidia drivers and direct x is up to date..
All my other drivers are the standard ones that come with the 4 way sli classified motherboard....

Your user name isn't much worse than mine....and I've been here for years....lol

Anyway, you should be getting higher than that. But you running your system completely stock is causing a huge bottleneck. If you want higher scores, you'll need to overclock your system. There is definitely more performance on tap in your system. When I was running 3 GTX 480's I got over 14k though my CPU and cards were all overclocked.

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/510780

So get your system cranking and then see how it turns out.

EDIT: Also make sure you are running the latest patched version of 3Dmark 11 and have the latest drivers for your cards (266.58) also you may need to manually designate the number of cards in the "settings" for 3Dmark 11. I had to manually set mine to 3 for that run above.

I dont realy want to overclock my cards as there running in the high 80's c already... there running so damn hot it's unreal...

you can overclock a little bit on the stock cooler, but you definitely don't want to attempt 4 ghz without a aftermarket heatsink. If you don't feel confident overclocking yourself then just use the dummy O.C. setting in the bios. It should bump it up to atleast 3.2 ghz. Better then nothing. Recommend getting a new heatsink if you want to go any higher.

4Ghz isn't going to happen on the stock cooler but 3.6Ghz should be possible: Go into your bios and give these settings a try:

1st go into your advanced settings, then go to your CPU settings and disable speedstep (leave turbo on) and set the QPI to 4.8.Then go to your memory settings and set the memory on the 2:10 ratio and depending on your RAM type set the timings. A safe setting is from the top 9-9-9-24 you can leave the rest on auto.Now back to the main page and set the bclock to 150, this will net you 3.6Ghz and 1500Mhz RAM speed.

Set voltages as follows:

CPU = 1.25v
CPU VTT = +150mv
CPU PLL = 1.65v
VDIMM = 1.6v

And leave the rest on auto and see how it does. If the PC fails to post, just reset the CMOS on the board by pressing the little button next to the power and reset buttons on the bottom of the board itself and your board will return to all stock values. Let me know how it works out.

EDIT: @ bvsbutthd101, his CPU runs 3.2Ghz stock as it's a i7 950. Which is listed as 3.06Ghz but with turbo it's really a 3.2Ghz CPU

The VTT voltage increase should help you with that. You can actually try giving it +150mv if the above settings don't work too well.

Yes, if your RAM is at 1500mhz you set it correctly as I stated. Give it another run at 3D Mark 11 and see how your score does now with a 3.6Ghz CPU and let us know.

what a sec, what if you put the dummy O.C feature on and turbo mode on at the same time. Won't it overclock it further then 3.2 ghz

yeah, dummy O.C. overclocks the cpu for you to 3.2 ghz, now the turbo mode overclocks also but only when the cpu is being used. dummy O.C. will keep overclocked at all times. Now i think if you put both on it will overclock it even further.

very expensive

best thing you can do is get a new heatsink and overclock further and you'll see that score go even higher.
