I put an EVGA backplate and high flow bracket on my PNY GTX 580.  I also re-did the TIM with IC Diamond 24 Carat.  Then I re-installed the card and used Precision 2.0.2 to up the clock to 850mhz.  The temperature went from 71C before while Folding to 61C while Folding.  Do you think I can get it to go any faster without throwing WU error's?  I didn't mess with the voltages and I would prefer not to.

Normally I'd start at stock clocks and after "2 weeks" of stable folding, I'd start raising the shaders ~1% and let it run 1 week and if no EUE's, I'd raise it 1% again.  With the three 450's on my secondary rig I've reached 1795 so far, which may end up being high enough for me.  I'll keep edging my way up, but may stop at 1800 shaders, I really don't want to see the U_M errors again.

But that's just me... baby steps.

You could also consult the Fermi PPD Statistics chart to see what other users are getting with their settings. but be careful not to jump up to some high shader mark set by someone else, that might come back to bite you.  Trust me, I now know this to be true.

    Nice temps, BTW.

Please remember that F@H is not a stress testing tool. It is never to be used to see if your OC is stable. Please use something like OC Scanner to test your OC first. If your testing software indicates it is stable, then move on to folding. Then, if you get EUEs, at least you ran something else first.
